Technology is great but what happens when your report of orders form disappears? Back in October we had this happen and about 4 orders from September and October where not reported in time. Now most shops had no problems but wouldn't you know it there had to be one that must stick to the rules.

Yes those fine people at Apples to Zinnias in Dallas TX where those fun people. I would like to thank them for returning my phone calls over the past three months as I tried to get credit for the $210 order that we delivered for them. Even though we did them a favor since they can't dove their orders to us. And I am sure they send so many orders that in their words it would be ciaos if they allowed shops to report their orders late.

Well now what the heck was I doing accepting that kind of order over the phone you ask. Well those fine florist have FAS and they don't use the dove to transmit their orders. Which is why we no longer accept orders from FAS as of today.

Teleflora will be helping us out with the order (Thank you very much) and to be fair those are the rules and I have to take my hat off to those three other florist that honored their orders with us.

Shady is as shady does...immoral asses..

It is sad....

But unless I know you personally I only accept order electronically!! .<period

Some shops I have told to call it to Domestic Retrans and they can send it to me. But a few bad apples have spoiled it for everyone!

I thought you were on permanent suspend Bossdude...

I had this happen with 4 orders - one $189 where I slacked on reporting, and teleflora kicks them right back atcha nowadays (afaik FTD doesn't)

But all the shops were good with me reporting them in March.

Pretty ballsy/predatory/dishonest of someone (we've approved this before too) who won't approve it.

Eric I understand your new rule but not all FAS shops would do this to you. There have even been times we have called a shop and told them we had an order they had not reported. We do check our wire statements each month and not only do we have orders that aren't reported but we also have wire orders that are reported to our account that we didn't send. I bet we find at least 3 orders per month that we didn't send. I always feel it is my responsibility to make sure the statements are right. We always do our manual reporting of orders on Friday of each week. Our FAS system makes this process very easy. I don't see this as being any different than a customer using their credit card and you forgetting to deposit it and then in 4 months asking them to allow you to collect the money. You wouldn't stop taking Credit Cards if they refused would you.

How did you not find it missing when you reconciled your statements? When you said the report of orders form disappeared wasn't the information still in your computer system? I'm just trying to understand how this happens. It's my job to make sure my money is collected in a timely manor.

Bottom line is it's your shop and you make the rules. If you don't want phone orders from other florists or orders from FASnet then its your choice. Just remember most of us are hard working honest florists.

Our eagle keeps track of everything. At the end of month I usually hit the report button. The list is generated and I can either dove it over in one process or fax it over. Something happened and for whatever reason there was no report generated to show these orders. As if they did not exist.

Its my own fault for reporting 12 days late. I just can't believe they would do that. Even Teleflora said the same thing and said they were sorry but it is in the rules. Its the sending florist choice.

I'll just have to make sure I log onto myteleflora.com and report the orders as they come in.

Note Bold Text: It's their choice to pay you?

Well if that is their choice then I know what my next choice action would be.... hire a small claims lawyer (actually you don't need one, but they speed up the process) and file a small claims suit against the other shop.

It's your money and you deserve compensation.

Still filling for REAL FLORISTS Jon...would not want them to have to use less than stellar operations.

OH, and I did give back over $300.00 this month on orders I made money on based on the FTD time clock...to shops that requested it...

:yourock:If they request it from me they get it back also...I don't like this program to make more money, but to serve customers better and to help florists learn to professionally handle incoming orders.

Haven't been fined yet myself either...

I just had one last week where the florist meant to send a DECON and accidentally they sent a REF, called them and we're trying to figure out how to get that off the books so they don't have to pay $180.

What about the ones that don't request it? I use that to better service my customers.
