All about hand-tied european style bouquets....has so much info! Daz, you gotta take a look!Ordered it last month and it just came in...WOW!!!! If you do not have it.get it.if you have it.well there are lots of goodies in there aren't there? Hard to stay focused on the days work with it sitting here on my desk! And the photograhphy is outstanding and the designs.Well after all it's Rene!

Rene is enough to "drool over." lol I love his book. I bought the soft covered one at the Teleflora show that I put on my wedding table and I bought a hard covered one for my own library that I just got in the mail today. And he autographed each one. He just makes my heart quiver. ::::swooning::::

I can't wait until I can make bouquets one-half as spectular as he can.

I will take some more pics of our hand tied posies soon, I had a few PMs with questions and wanted to see more. Our camera is being cleaned right now, our 1 year daughter got some type of goo in it.... mystry goo... we have no idea what it is. :) Maybe she got it from that magical place where the "other sock" always hides.

Ewww ewww Ohhh. Hey I posted a link on the cool website thread 2 weeks ago: http://www.dosgringos.net/StyleMenu.asp It used to work a few months ago when I used it, but not working now... BUT I think... think... Cathy might know, but on that site there used to be short videos on "how to", and I think it was being taught by Rene.

The book is indeed wonderful. Great use of color, crisp photography, well-explained how-to's. A 'must have' for every floral library.

Rene' is a terrific marketer and so totally gets the mission of selling flowers and floral designs. He is a practical artist who has capitalized on his skills and knowledge, not a starving artist who has suffered for them. IMO, he is one of the very best speakers in the industry.

On a personal note, I first met Rene' 22 years ago when he was hired to help develop a line of European-inspired designs for my former employer. Dutch flowers and designs were just making their big US splash and the Flower Council of Holland was investing heavily here to promote their unique products and styles.

My company signed me up to take one of Rene's two-day courses in preparation to assist him with our own hands-on classes to our store-level designers. During that class, I met this handsome, funny guy that made absolutely gorgeous arrangements.

Phil now thanks (blames :rolleyes: ) him for introducing us.

For those of you that have never seen one of Rene's programs, make it a point to do so. I promise you'll be educated, entertained and inspired.

You're so right about Rene. I had the opportunity to see and hear him a few years ago. I learned more in that afternoon than I ever thought possible. I will invest in his book.

I met Rene at a customer show about 4 years ago. I have never seen someone dazzle the crowd and market flowers like he does. He is an amazing flower person.
 
Thanks again Sher, I just got my book and it is really wonderful. :) The guy I talked to on the phone. whom I ordered the book from, said a lot of people from flowerchat were calling and ordering this book. Nice work Sher :)
 
Got mine in the mail the end of last week ....... REAL NICE!!!!!!!!!!! Good investment for the shop and designers. AHHHHHHHHHHH reminds me of the Netherlands.

My wife and one designer were inspired and made some cool arragements. I will take pics tomorrow and hopefully post them soon. :)
 
Our book is on order, apparently Amazon was out so we won't get it until mid September. If the book is as good as everyone says, we won't mind the wait!

If you love the book, you will love the note cards too! I buy and send many cards and these are wonderful shots of flowers from his book. They are blank inside so you can write whatever you want. They also make GREAT gifts!

I hear Renee' has joined the proffessional motivational speaker circuit. He will really "wow" people in all walks of life now.

I took my husband to his show a few years ago, we both really enjoyed it! I really wish he could make his way back in this direction again.

I think Renee needs to be invited to Flower Chat!
