reputation?

i have been given an extra green square what and how dos this work only been in the chat room for couple of weeks and still getting used to it all but as you can tell by the posts i'm good at talking not that good at typing been trying to find info on these reps but can't

Potty,
In the top left corner of the navigation bar is "User CP" which is the control panel. Click on that, and you'll see an area I think mid screen, which will show comments that have been made on your posts. Most people sign their comments, as there is a space to do so. It will also tell you which comment in particular was noted. You can give positive and negative reputation - it's done by clicking on the scale in the right corner of each post.

Looks like you've gotten a gold star, or a green one anyway!

PS - Whoops! Rep is built by posting in general, over time. More rep is accumulated (or taken away depending on the post) when another member clicks those scales.

i get it now took some time the scales at the top of the comment box

thankyou is this not explained anywhere in this site or is it something you find in chat rooms for i think this should be explained to those of us new members on fc as don't know bout others but i have no idea when it comes to the internet or computers and i'm in my 30's(just!) and not that old

It's explained HERE. I just found this thread today, but previously had read some pretty funny posts about Rep.

It takes a lot of time to figure out all the nuances of this place, good late night homework, or great when you can't sleep!

Help on a pdf

i think this should be explained to those of us new members on fc as don't know bout others but i have no idea when it comes to the internet or computers and i'm in my 30's(just!) and not that old

As an ageing crone but forum virgin trust me I did try to cover off everything. Did you not get my welcome letter or download the 'how to use Flowerchat' off our www.masterflorist.com website. If not let me know and I'll ping you a copy as it explained reps and things.

If there is anything else you think we need to cover PLEASE PLEASE let me know as I really want this to work for everyone,
