My 15 year old daughter will be under going shoulder surgery Thursday Dec 30th. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers that all goes well. The power of prayer is great and the power of the people on this board is outstanding. Thanks

We will be praying for your daughter...and her speedy recovery! Bless her heart, at 15 it's tough to lay low when you have so much energy. Just encourage her to get lots of rest and try not to worry ;) (easier said than done, I know)

Thank you all for all your words of support, well wishes and prayers. I knew I could count on all of you for this.

My daughters name is Arielle -Meaning: Lioness of God . I will update you all after her surgery tomorrow.
 
Arielle's surgery went really well, her labrem was torn and tucked up into the socket. All is repaired and they expect a full recovery after 4 months or so. Doctor expects that she will be able to go back to swimming again fall 2005.
She is 15 and has never been on pain meds before and is thanking God for their effects.

Thank you for your continued prayers and thoughts as the week ahead will be the hardest.

A torn Labrum is a pretty major injury - and very painful. Things must have gone very well if they are looking at a 4 month recovery!! I'm so glad to hear she's on the mend.

IF...she does this...

in 4 months, she's our superhero...this is a long and arduous recovery from this type of surgery, and the physio required to overcome the repair is pretty major!!
With your help, she WILL DO this...the swimmer, with the beautiful name, will have a story to tell somewhere down the line.
