Answering these questions is mandatory for new applicants:
- What is your website address?

- How long have you been in business?

- Do you have any formal floral education?

- How were you referred to FlowerChat?

- What do you hope to gain from membership?

- What do you feel you can contribute to the community?

- Do you operate from a commercial building or your residence?
 
I'm wondering if it's a glitch or something. Mostly all the new intros have looked like this. hmmm...
 
As far as I know there is no glitch. Some of the intros haven't been answered because the applicants weren't serious.

Sometimes I think they don't answer because they think it takes to much time or is too much trouble. Too bad really as this is a great resource for those who really want to belong.

So, no answers by tomorrow gets a no vote from me.

I'm wondering the same thing about the glitch as Aileen is. This has happened on all of the most recent applicants.
 
There is no glitch in the process... unless you count people choosing not to answer the questions the glitch.

I applied as a test case Basket Case with no problems. The questionaire is at the bottom of the process so perhaps they just realise they don't actually belong here so they just hit enter without replying.

I don't know if they are required fields, maybe they should be. No answers, no entry. ;)

Anyway, that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

I guess I'm for giving people the benefit of the doubt, if it is at the bottom perhaps they just don't see it.
 
Erlene, they can't miss it really. Much like Monopoly it states it pretty clearly, Do no pass go... ;)

I agree, but would like to add:

It seems that the sign up process for things online have become repetitive from site to site. I think most people don't read the fine print. If there isn't a "missing field" prompt to continue, a lot of people don't fill it out or even notice it's missing. For some they think it's like signing up for any website and they don't comprehend what the voting process is all about here at FlowerChat and don't take it seriously. It's like they're on auto pilot. FlowerChat is very unique than the typical message forum sign up in that all active members have a say in who gets in and who stays out.

For others, it seems they just aren't very computer savvy. Recently I purposely logged out and decided to look at the registration process just to see for myself what the deal is. In my opinion, since the questions aren't in individual required fields (to continue sign up), they get overlooked. Some just don't understand how to answer the questions in the box.

And then there are the ones that purposely won't fill it out because they are lazy or just don't care.
 
and I'm sure there are some who just don't want us to know who they are as well
