Ribbon treatment

We get our sheer ribbons wet quite a bit and have never noticed any bleeding, same with the double faced satin. We get a lot of ours form May Arts, and others off the Rainbow truck that comes around.

Lion has a new satin ribbon that is a mix of regular satin (acetate) and the waterproof kind. It is more stiff than regular ribbon and is supposed to hold up better in the cooler.

I'm checking into these~thanks for the info.

May Arts has a nice website, I'm contacting them.

Do you have a source for the organza, or a specific manufacturer?

Will check out Lion and Offray.

Thanks!

Had a near disaster with ribbon wrap and rain, rain, rain...that I want to avoid in the future, thanks so much.

We live in an area that has sunshine 360 days a year, don't know what rain is, heh. I have never had an issue with bridal satin bleeding or with organza and the organza I frequently spritz with water to help take the wrinkles out of a bow. We get that from our local wholesalers and from May arts, never had a problem with either. May arts has a pretty nice selection of corsage ribbons as well.

I purchase my ribbons from Fabric Home (home sweet home) in California. Never had a bleeding ribbon, in acetate or organza and we spray our arrangements with the ribbons in them.
