Just rejected the most ridiculous order I've seen in quite a while from "Vancouver Florist" , get this 15 multi coloured Tulips in a glass vase and delivered to St. John's for the overwhelming amount of $33.00 delivered. With the cost of our air freight we have to sell Tulips for $2.50 each , glass vase $8.00 and delivery $6.00 . I don't know what they pay for tulips in "Vancouver" but if they can do this order for this amount they must be stealing them from people's garden.

Brian, I KNOW you have a snow shovel so just remove the 3 feet of snow and pick'em! :)

Got one today from 800Flowers (ugh) for a town away from us. Refuse to reject and pay the fee, so sent an ask message. Told them not in our area and to send a cancel. Got ans message back for us to "properly reject the order". I got on the phone and called and told them if they didn't cancel, the order would sit on my machine. They weren't happy but the cancel came right through. Called FTD headquarters and the nice lady in Member Services said she has had an earful of the same complaint from members with same problems. She said I did the right thing. Love it, I guess many members getting sick of them. And they tried to send us one at Valentine's day for 20 multicolored tulips arranged (minimum of 3 different colors) delivered to town 18 miles away for $44.99. We also get $2.50 per tulip, $8 vase and a $10-15 delivery charge to that area. Told them get a life and cancel or I'd hold the order. They cancelled :)

yesterday I get an order from a shop for $44.95 including delivery. The SRP in the book was $56.99
I send an ask saying that I will fill to value but I need an $8 delivery fee due to the delivery address. No response. This order came through at 10 am. So at 1:45 we call the shop to tell them that they either need to approve the price change or cancel because the driver was leaving for that route and it would be the last van of the day. They said they would call right back, they had to call the customer. Less than 1 minute after they hang up we get a cancel request. No problem,I did not want to fill the thing anyway. Under valued orders are always a problem waiting to happen. 45 minutes later the printer kicks on and out pops the same exact order. This time instead of screwing with it I forwarded to another shop closer to the delivery address. 25 minutes later I get the same stupid order AGAIN! This time I wrote back and in not very nice words told them if they sent it again it would go in the trash without being filled or rejected.
Sheesh!

Rhonda , heard on the radio coming to work this morning of a nightclub fire in your area with many dead and maybe hundreds in hospital, is this accurate? God I hope not .

Sunny,
Vacouver Florist is a order gatherer that I had a big problem of non delivery at Chrsitmas with them. It took me One month to get them to send a apology bouquet to the receipient and I also got credit from FTD for the item. Beware they also work under Urban Flowers and Urban Flowers & Basket aside from Vancouver Florist.

Sunny that dreadful fire was in W. Warwick R.I., a place I have visited many times...awful.

Victoria , as Rhonda has not or may be to busy to reply , would you know how close it is to her town?

I don't think it's too close as it's two different states. Warwick is fairly close to the Connecticut border. I'll have to check on my map.

Sorry Sunny...West Warwick is out side Providence RI. I don't believe it's near Millinocket at all. It was and is a terrible tragedy. Last count I saw was 85.

West Warwick is about one hour south of Boston.
Millinocket is 5+ hours north of Boston.

Speaking of TF and Flowerclub. An order came over the system today from TF headquarters via Flowerclub for a $70 gourmet basket. The price they gave me including delivery was $65. On top of that it was for an address 20 miles away with a gaurenteed time of delivery.
I don't think so!!!!
Hit the old reject button. I did not even waste my time with an ask for more money.

Jim,
How did you identify it? I just categorically reject anything that comes from TF OKC. In my book there's no reason they should ever have an order to send to me. But I had found they cloak some of them. USAA is a BAD thing for us too, they compete with us for their products offered at discounts we can't match. So OKC is a broad enuf brush to get rid of that crap.

But I never found flowerclub CLEARLY identified.

Bloomz,

If it's from TFOK I ask for the source - Int'l or FlowerClub?

FlowerClub gets rejected. I do appreciate that they eliminated all non-floral products when TF bought flowerclub, but until they restructure the commissions for FC, I'm not filling for them.

On the other hand, I want to do my best to support the Int'l orders - boosts enthusiam and confidence in the floral industry when we get those orders filled right.

Tulips

Sunny - check out www.floristonly.com.
If your email address is on this site I'll try to send you something. I've purchased from them a number of times with very satisfactory results.

Tom, used to be able to access that site but wouldn't take my former info, so re registered again. Yes, they had some nice deals.
