Riser arrangements, curly willow w/votives

Had a request from a bride to add votives to the curly willow in the riser arrangements. I feel this is a fire hazard and asked her to check with the banq. mgr. Any tips would be appreciated.
I did the votives before in table arrangements with the curly willow. I thought I was going to wire the glass votive cups to the curly willow so they would be suspended, but that was not working. We ended up with attaching green dow sticks with floral clay to the bottom of the votive cups and arranging them in with the flowers. They were beautiful, but doing that wiring thing was ridiculous. I did check with a supplier for these pre wired votives and they were too pricey.

what about using the battery powered votives? no fire hazard there! about 4/ 1.00 at flower factory

Thanks, I forgot about those. The battery lights don't have the same effect, but I'll mention those to the bride.

we use the submersible floral light in gel and get a good result, we found the battery lights not bright enough...can't use any candles here in AC

we've done the votives in the curly willow without any problem.We make a "sling out of oasis wire the has a long hanger part on it.We found the you really need a good size bunch of willow,and to hang the votives we usually gather 2-3 branches together.
