this has been the summer of road work in our town. right now the east and west main road into town have been detoured and under construction. (we have limited roads into town because we sit on a river)
Today our main drag (the road I am located on) is now one lane with a flag man. I Can see the flagman about 1 mile down the road and traffic is backing up beyond my store for another half mile or more (can't wait till rush hour)
oops, a car just slammed on his brakes in front of the store to avoid hitting the car in front of him!!!!
Of course my first 2 walk in customers pretty much said it was impossible to get into my lot. Both had to drive by and turn around to get into the lot. I am thankful they made the effort.

I could go on vacation this week
or put something catchy on the marquis to try and entice customers into the store. Any ideas? tia
