Poor old Hugh is in hospital with a broken leg he suffered on saturday past doing a delivery. Apparently he had to spradle a chained off driveway and sifted all his weight to one leg and it collapsed under him. He had the surgery and is supposed to be going home on Friday, the only thing is the next 6 weeks on crutches. I will be out to see him sometime today with a fruit basket ( he's starved to death) which I can understand , I couldn't eat the food there when I was hospitalized. The staff here at SunnyBrae wishes him a speedy recovery and Jane the patience , of putting up with him while he's recovering.

So...I hear that Rock has "screws"...

and had baloney for breakfast....
So, he qualifies for the "screws loose" deduction, and because he's now FULL of BALONEY, he officially belongs to the Florists Full of Baloney Club.

I guess the only way he will be happy is to move his computer beside his bed. Does he neeed a lawyer>????

Important question:
"Did he drop the flowers??"

Seriously, all the best to the poor guy!

FlowerChat gift on the way :thumbsup

Just got back from seeing the boy, he's in good spirits and mobile , Jane brought him ina Salmon dinner while I was there, almost wanted to trade places just to get the dinner. Got your message Ryan will deliver it tommorrow as he will probably be discharged on Friday, or can get my daughter to deliver it to him on Saturday to his house as she's going to the Klondyke concert in Bay Roberts. Anyone who wants to call and wish him well can call him direct at 709-724-0357. As all his suppliers have the number ,I don't think he will mind his friends calling.

hmmmm....wonder if Jane can send us a salmon dinner also. ;)

Thanks for the number Brian...

WE ALL WISH HIM A SPEEDY RECOVERY.
Someone can have my Salmon Dinner....
Luc

HUGH HAS LEFT THE BUILDING

He has been discharged to go and rake in the money at the concert on Saturday. By now he should be safely tucked into his own bed in Bay Roberts.

A benefit concert for his broken leg? ;)

No it's their klondyke festival , Trooper , lover boy, Randy Bachman and many more , Hugh has got a booth selling plush with the Official festival teeshirt (miniature of course) on them.
I really wanted to get out there this weekend , but not in the cards.

That would be a great concert! I'm sorry you can't get there.

I can just see the sea of mullets now ...

Sorry Ryan but the museum of poor taste called and they wanted all the mulletts returned before the weekend , instead they send out a punt load of beer bellies wearing parachute pants.

LOL....mullets schmullets....they still "got" it...

I'M FREEE!!!!!!!!!!!!
First of all thanks everyone for your wishes and the fantastic fruit basket; Marie was just arriving with it as I found out I was being released so she helped Jane bring some stuff down to the van! Thanks, Marie.
You just don't know how easy these things happen; I tripped over a chain between two gate posts; the same chain I've stepped over at least a dozen times before but I cannot figure out how I really did it since I'm usually careful. Anyway, after successfully stepping my right foot over the toe of my left foot got caught, causing me to pivot on my right leg and abruptly stop at the same time and snapped off the leg; landed on my left knee and two hands and after getting over the shock I picked up everything the flew out of my pockets and started to get up, until I tried to stand on my right leg, at which time I fell flat on my back. About now I realized that something was wrong so lying there on the end of a road I took out my cell and called Jane to get me an Ambulance and a customer came along and stayed with me til the ambulance arrived. Eventually I ended up at he Health Science Complex in St John's and the next morning they pulled my leg back in place and put in 3 screws. Cannot walk on it for 6 weeks and only after more Xrays.
The moral of the story is Don't forget your cell, especially if you're delivering to out of the way areas!
Concert is tomorrow and town has a souvenir booth and are selling our Klondyke Bears and Moose for us. It's gonna be hot 25-30 so I'm just hoping to see Tropper and Randy Bachman tomorrow night! They expect 20-25,000.......4 to 5 times population of town...
