One of my all time favourite players and coaches of any sport has passed away at the age of 69. He will be long remembered for bringing the Rough Riders their first Grey Cup in 66, for playing 20 years as a QB, most of them in Regina , for turning the ti-cats around long enough to win the Cup in 99. Loved to watch him play, with such greats George Reed, Alan Forde, Hughie Campbell, great team year after year that should have won more cups but somehow managed to come up just short like in 76 , Clements to Gabriel , 20 seconds left. Farewell Ronnie , the CFL will not be the same without you.

I imagine my Dad will be greeting him and will take him to his room of many t.v's to watch a variety of games.

What an amazing memorial service for Ron Lancaster yesterday....big, huge monstrous men, and their ladies, crying, weeping, remembering, and laughing at some of Ronnie's antics, and the legacy he left behind.
In Regina, Saskatchewan, the WHOLE province stopped, to pay tribute to the "Little General".......
Even in death Ronnie lives amongst us.......
