:( Because the infection wouldn't allow for the procedure to be completed today, the sequel is next week. So... no beer, no tequilla, no Denny's (we don't have those here), no IHOP (I don't know that those are here either). Just me and a bowl of soup. Yes, soup is my friend... a boring friend, but hey, it will sustain me. ;)

Thanks for the good luck wishes Tracy and Manor Man.

No stranger to pain, pain, pain, infection, more pain and what happens when your German Shep. decides to do what no human was successful in accomplishing in 30 years, .....................
( head butting and knocking out 9 in one swoop ). Way Ouchers !
......and we still have the dog !
My doc loves that dog ! Can ya guess why ! LOL

I feel for ya V.
Get rid of that 'fection and enjoy the soup.

Now Doug... you know Red River Cereal is way too bumpy and lumpy and just plain gross for my poor feeble mouth... tummy and all things in between. ;)

Euwwwww JELLO! Can't bear the stuff.

Hey you know what, this is the first day since last Thursday night where I haven't had a hot poker residing in my head. So, I'm grateful for the technology and the hands who have given me relief and the ability to sleep tonight.

Hey Luc, you're right! It's working already... I'm on track. :)

This is such a great place.

Hugs to all.

How about Oatmeal (with cooked Raisins, my favorite breakfast cereal) or Cream of Wheat, with cinamon and honey.

both of easy on the gums!

Victoria,

One of my sons just went through this. He suffered for several days before the infection was under control and they could go ahead and do the root canal. I hope they gave you some pain meds. Feel better soon.

Advil and anitbiotics. The pain was persistent and intent on letting me know it was there at every turn. I think I may have frightened some customers. ;)

By comparison, I feel like a million bucks this morning. Didn't sleep much but the pain has left the building. :)

I'm glad your son is better too.

oooooh V, you poor darlin' !
Have been there and done that a few years ago.....make sure the doc gives ya LOTS of meds....tis no time to be a hero!
I send you happy thoughts and a healing hug !

The pain before the procedure is far, far worse than the procedure itself, or that was my experience. You're in my prayers, Victoria.

Now, if only Pennies from Heaven could be turned into toonies and loonies (in multiples of bazillions) I would be set. The root canal is the least of the cost... next comes the crown. I haven't clue one how I'm going to pay for it. Lot's more dog walking and sitting on top of the regular job I'm thinking!

Thanks Connie... and you're right. The procedure was a blessed relief.

I feel your pain (well, not physically). My son's cost about $1500 and yep, you guessed it, no dental insurance. Wow, just Advil? They gave Mike Darvocet (didn't do much) and Vicodin.

Glad to read you're feeling better!
