Rose Variety Help!

Hi all,

Thought I'd try here. Calling on your combined expertise and experience! You were so helpful in helping me source out the silver pedestal bowl for the same wedding. Maybe I'll be lucky again! Testing your rose variety knowledge from a photo! ( ha, ha; here we go!)

I'm dealing with an impossibly picky bride. I need to create an arrangement similar to below (3 different pinks in a bowl). I have chosen the softest pink to be Sophie. I am stuck on the two other pinks. It's a long story and has been weeks of drama, including two trial centerpieces... Shocking versilia is too red/raspberry for this bride, Poison or Hot Lady/Princess photograph too red for her. Thanks to Mocha Rose, I have the suggestion of Ravel or Orlando. Any suggestions for the med. pink and darker pink? The order has to go in tomorrow.

Thought I'd put it out there. Your advice is invaluable. I'll be glad when this one is over!

The wide open medium pink rose is esperance, hands down. It's a light pink so probably not what she wants. That's the problem with pictures - the light (or lack of it) really creates shades that don't exist.

With all of that said, I adore "sweet unique" it's just feminine and pretty. Eufloria has some amazing pink roses as well.
 
A couple to try

I agree that Sweet Unique is a great pink - between medium pink and hot pink. Also, check out Rosita Vendella for a medium pink. Hot pink I would probably go with Ravel if Shocking Versillia is too much for her.
 
rose colors

You can also go to www.holex.com They have a library under products on the left toolbar. You can enter variety and color to narrow it down. Just remember screen color is different than natural color but it could give you an idea.
One of our customers had a great idea for brides, which is to use paint chip samples from paint or home improvement stores that match her dress color, and carry a few sets with her for all vendors. (Thanks, Jen!)

I absolutely love rosita vendella, but I wouldn't count on it's large size so much as the color being absolutely awesome. Of course one of my other pinks that I really enjoy is "Ballet" which would complement Sophie and the Rosita very well.
