I just received a email saying that Jason Beason one of the founding memebers of Media99 has died. Many of the florist here have media99 web sites. He has greatly helped my business and was a great person in general. The industry has lost a person that was truly trying to help the independant florist.

Thank you for posting the service information.

I just received the e-mail, and I'm so saddened. We never met in person, but spoke frequently on the phone. I will miss his friendly voice.

Jason had heart surgery recently for a congenital problem. Last I heard everything was going well.

I was fortunate enough to meet with Jason on occasion. Last time was in '05, I think, when he was recovering from a broken foot related to a motorcycle accident. He was already shopping online for a new bike :)

Based on the few interactions we had, I think Jason and Lorrie are two of the nicest people in this biz that I've ever met, and I'm sorry for them and the M99 team to have to go through this trial.

I just spoke with the ladies at Posey Peddler in Jonesboro, and from the sound of things there will be lots of flowers on site for the visitation tomorrow.

Yes it is his friendship goes back to the redbook days and the original RTI, All of our heartfelt sympathies goto Lorrie, their families and the Team at Media 99

Hal Conklin and the rest of The MAS/MAS Direct Team

Although we never met in person either, I talked to Jason quite a bit. He was a really nice guy. Very sorry to hear it.

Ditto the sentiment. Jason was well-liked among quite a few of us in the floral industry. We will miss him very much.

Shannon,

He had a heart defect from birth and knew about it. Two weeks ago he went in for surgery and passed away from Kidney and Liver failure. This will sound harsh but luckily he had no children. I don't know about any arrangements.
