It has been reported that Wiarton Willie has died. Our prognosticator of winter and spring met his end earlier this week in Wiarton Ontario.

While he will be missed, the hunt is on for his replacement... which won't be easy. Albino groundhogs are not a dime a dozen after all.

There will be a memorial service in Wiarton to honour Willie and all he accomplished in his all too short life.

Sure hope they find a replacement before February 2nd...

Actually my Queen of the South... there is indeed an "in lieu of"... they prefer carrots... lots and lots of carrots, and other delicious tuberous treats. The mercenary bast @@rds are using the event to entice prospects...

What is the "vig" on the Canadian side to send a truckload of carrots across the border??? Better yet, Hmmm is the fence electrified yet? Perhaps I could stand on one side, you on the other and I'll just keep tossin them over....do you think there would be jail time involved? I need a rest! Do they feed ya up there...when you are incarrotsided???

I'm in... can't throw worth a dam n but I can catch... flying carrot or what have you. As far as jail time... come on and give it a try... who knows what will turnip. (two or more can play this game. :)) We do have electricity, but I'm not sure the cord reaches the fence. I do know the next "Willie" has been promised hydro in his den... as long as there is a current bush near by there won't be a problem.

Well Infinite told me he no longers uses Mush dogs and a sled to get around so the electric does not surprise me....this is no lie..I had a customer send flowers to his area and when he was placing the order, he asked me if they had to use sled dogs to deliver the flowers....fell out of my chair on that one. I told him absolutely...I mean why kill the dream...or cure the ignorance...working on the carrot dilema...talk with you tomorrow...oh and When cutie hits Miami...I have a new toy to pick her up in if she wants...a new red speedy 'cedes...yep that is my weekend toy....told my husband I was having a bad hair day and he told me to go buy something in red because that always cheers me up..and then continued to watch some sports game where the guys all touch each others butts and call it "manly". He had nothing to say when I came home...lol...lol...

I really don't get that butt patting thing either. Yesterday, the sanitary engineers had me blocked in my driveway (on my way to work)... I watched as they tossed the trash into the truck, and as they passed eachother, there was a butt pat... that gave me pause.

Yessirree, we gots ourselfs lectric power, an we don half to live in the tree house no more cause we's gots cities, with real howses, an rodes and we even gots tv... There is some guy in a dress... Uncle Miltie or somethin... weird. ;)
