Well, they have moved from Nigeria over to Lebanon...wonder how many folks will fall for this one. There has to be some responses or they would stop, right???? Oh well, another saturday delete delete!!!! Dear Sir/Madam,

CONFIDENTIAL REQUEST:

May I seek your attention and cooperation in the evacuation of my family
treasures from Lebanon, My mother and I have managed to flee Lebanon due
to the current war and the brutal attack on my family by the Israeli
forces killing my father and four other brothers in the southern suburbs
of Beirut, the village of Al Jamaliyeh. My father is the eldest brother to
Mayor Hussein Jamaleddin and has never been in support of violence as a
means to settle political and religious differences. I am my fathers first
son and heir to his vast estates. My mother has adequately informed me on
the Gold deposit and bonds with the South African Reserve bank hence we
made our escape to The Republic of South Africa.

We are in the process of converting this deposits to cash and would want
to secure it with a company or a trusted individual out side South
Africa. Your sincerity, sense of humanity and dignity would be highly
appreciated as the funds would be huge in your possession and therefore,
needs to be kept securely in separate accounts which I will have asses to
on demand.

As you can see this is very urgent, I need your full cooperation to
execute this, please, respond to me if you can be of any assistance, I
shall discuss your benefits and how we are going to evacuate this cash on
your response, which of cause, will be favourable to both parties.

I await your urgent response and anticipated cooperation.

Respectfully yours,
Ahmed Hamid jamaleddin.

I receive at least six of these each day - from all different countries ... I wonder myself if people fall for it. My poor hubby actually reads them, but I see the dear sir/madam and immediately delete.

It used to be chain letters through snail mail ... a hundred years ago it was people selling great "waterfront" property in FL .... wonder what the scam of the century will be 100 years from now??

Sher, while that sure would be fun, you should know that the email addresses have been "spoofed", that is, the *nix machines that are sending the spam put a fake IP-return address in the datagram header as the message is being sent. No one, except maybe the sending ISPs, know where in the heck these message are coming from.

But if they are aking you to respond, doesn't that email get to them? I think it would but perhaps not...but then what is the point in sending the crap? Maybe I will respond and tell them to meet me and then give them the FBI's address or the Homeland Security...ok, maybe I won't but it seems to me that there should be a way to dump it back on them besides the delete button.....this one just got my Irish dander up I guess....

Do not respond to the mail... it shows you're live. Do report it as spam.
