does anyone remember a professional football team losing EVERY game it plays in a year??
My beloved Tiger Cats may be destined to BECOME that team!!
I've seen lots of teams play and lose, but, this team isn't even IN the game...these last SIX games!!
Hamilton has suffered probably the WORST string of KEY injuries to begin ANY season, that I have seen to date, BUT, at least the guys left standing, usually at least TRY to make a game of it, and it just AIN'T happening with this steel town football team.
It's just downright awful...
Mike

Are you talking about the CFL?

Sorry to hear that Mickey, the
CFL is the Summer League of Football ??????????????????????????.

Stick to Hockey! and get those LOAFS to at least SHOW UP!.

Maybe you should be their coach. I am sure you would make progress.
Luc

Maybe the LAFFS could try for that record next year!!!!!!!!

Luc, I know what the LOAFS NEED!

MONEY? or someone who HAS IT?

A Coach is only part of the problem or solution if THAT COACH is like a FATHER.

Ones Team is like having many CHILDREN in a FAMILY...if the FATHER is a JERK than the rest of the TEAM is ALSO A JERK!.

Those LOAFS would DOO BETTER with ME, but only in the TABLE ARRANGMENTS at those BANQUETS....but there would not be any BANQUETS because of there RECORD?.....The LOAFS are almost there but they need MONEY and FANS and FANS and DA MEDIA.....cripe you guy's got's a NEW POND a couple of years ago!.

I seen the hilights of the game you mentioned Mike on CH, it was sad, hell I would have made the team look good. (I don't have a clue about Football)

Thou we could call the team the GLADIATORS. :) Perhaps Eugene Melnyk might like to buy a CFL team.

I'm suffering with you Mike, being a diehard Tabbies fan. They have been blown out in 3 of the last 4 games the most humiliating being to the bottomless boatmen of Toronto. Was hoping Danny Mac would get em turned around after he came of the DL. No one on offense seems to want the ball and the defence will soon have a new nickname (redcarpet) if they don't soon stop the run which is ironic because the run is almost unheard of in the CFL. Saturday night the Riders just ran them over as did Edmonton the game before. Whats the local scuttlebutt , are they screaming for Ronnie 's head. He's a great guy and a great coach .

If I remember correctly didn't either the Seahawks or the Buccanears lose their first 24 games when they joined the NFL in the 70's. Christ I hope the Tabbies get nowhere near that.

It was the BUCS....

but that's not what I'm getting at....the Hamilton Tiger Cats, are the OLDEST professional football club in North America, and right now, it seems the people of the "dead" city of Hamilton, have no interest in continuing that long lived tradition!!
Hamilton's population is SO diverse, that there does NOT seem to be enough population "schooled" in this exciting game, to make it a viable "investment" for local ownership.
Our Tiger Cats are playing as if they DO NOT WANT to "entertain" the meagre numbers showing up for each game, and probably, they have justification for their feelings, and reactions on the field.
They DID start 0-8 in '91, and wound up 2 - 16 on the season, and though I hate to admit this, the team just about folded, if it hadn't been for the fine TORONTO fans showing up, game after game, to augment the pathetic numbers of butts in the stands.
I KNOW that the "dead" city of Hamilton wants a "winner"..and I WANT the SIX special little numbers for tomorrow night's lottery, BUT, some things just take time, and IF MY customers treated ME as badly, as Hamilton fans treat THEIR storied, and famous franchise, I'da been out of business long ago.....
Mike:(

It's probably the what have you do lately syndrome, went to the Grey Cup 2 consecutive years winning one and then last year didn't they just about do a total collapse in the last 3 or 4 games and then get beat by the Al's. Season ticket holders took a look ,saw no improvement over last year and kept their money in pocket. I watched them lose to Calgary , a very close game with Danny Mac just back and figured they were back on track , but only empty uniforms on the field in Saskatewan last week , so bad is the run defence a Turtle could get through.

Last chance for playoffs

Hey Mikey, would you say it is the last chance for the playoffs if they don't start winning now, with Ottawa beating Saskatewan last night , leaves the Tabbies in last 3 wins behind Ottawa ,and half the season over.Time to piss or get off the pot, eh?

I'd say....

LAST week's game was the "crucial" game...the boyz of Hamilton, though warriors, are unlikely to get close to Lord Grey's Cup this year!!
Mike

Dallas Cowboys tied a record in 1989 with 15 losses. Now that was a fun year for us non cowboy fans.

Yeah , I don't know anyone who does like the "Boys" , personally love to watch em lose. Too bad the big Tuna will probably turn them around .

Tuna? nope It's the MOOCH!

Mooch will be the one turning around things in the NFL! and here in Detroit..........

Just sit back sunny and watch what is transpired for the 2006 Superbowl!.

And where is that being played in 2006?
In MOOCH LAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey Mikey , did you see the game last night. Holy crap , how many times can a team self destruct at crucial times in one game. Missed FG from 10 yards, ugh, fumble twice on the others teams goalline, inexcusable, Qb throws post pattern , wide open , receiver runs slant, no communication. Maybe its time to clean house , something is not right , nobody seems to be reading the same book , let alone the same page. And yet they only lost by 13 points , gave 14 away at the goal line, ugly, ugly!!!

Watch NFL sunny..your Ulcers will HEAL!

I watched LOWLIGHTS of the Hamiliton Pussy Cats with that 0-8 record and they reminded me of the 2001-2002 Detroit Lions....standing around with there hands in there pockets while the opponent WALTZed into VICTORY.

MOOCH is our NEW ex San Fransisco 49ers Head Coach..and I thought you knew FOOTBALL!

P.S. MOOCH recorded his first win in Preseason for US since 1999 TODAY!

Steve Mariucci, sorry don't keep up with the NFL in the offseason as much.
