Well it's getting down to crunch time, and yesterday for the first time I saw the 800Flowers commercials begin on CNN...

Cute ad, with Jim and his daughter...but the design's not gonna fly here...

They start out with one centerpiece, and then she UPGRADES it for FREE to add more candles, deco, Roses and White Mountain Lilies for $39.99....

I had to laugh out loud, the first time I saw it last night. I was with a couple friends who asked "can they really do that?", and I simply told them... they can do anything they want, it's they're scam... but I'm not going to help them continue the fraud, and NO I can not make money filling that order...

Just saw an ad with Jim and Martha, but sorry to say I didn't pay attention to it.
 
Oh jeez, Martha's show just came on, and Jim McCann is her first guest. He brought with him the Amaryllis Bouquet, and I see she has a flower cooler in the corner of her set. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. Looks like the whole show will be an ad for 1-800.
 
My husband and I saw the ad the other night and he looked at me and said, is she( the daughter )crazy, how can she upgrade the flower for free? I just gave him one of those looks and he said, oh, I get it the florist looses not 1-800. I said yeah. He asked if I still belonged to 1-800 and I said NO, and he said GOOD.

There is no way the florist can not go in the hole with these orders.
 
I saw the one where "Jimbo" delivers the vase of amyrillis all arranged to Martha.....goes on to say...blah blah blah have this delivered for xxxx.Makes the consumer assume it will come to them like that..Is this a drop ship item? If so we all know it won't come asembled all" pretty pretty" Should be some law he's breaking,like truth in advertising or something don't ya think?
