Thanks for the good wishes. By the time the hurricanes reach this far north, they usually aren't as devastating as the mid and south eastern seaboard, but they still do a lot of damage, lights out for a week, etc.
I remember a scenario a few years ago, the major networks were showing the east coast dealing with a hurricane as it approached each area ... in the Carolinas, they were evacuating; in VA, they were boarding everything up and sandbagging; in New Jersey, they were preparing shelters and stocking up food, then they show MY town in CT, and the footage they chose to show was idiots are sitting on the seawall, with huge waves pounding on their heads and they're all yelling "Wheee!" Unbelievable!
