Received this e-mail today from Kevin's shop regarding his beloved dog, Tiki, and thought his friends at FC would like to send him a message of support. I just spoke with Kevin, he is exhausted and his blood pressure is sky high. I sure do adore Kevin, we have become very good friends, and I worry about his health. His beloved Tiki is in a coma. Kevin loves this dog as much as life itself. Please show him how much we care!

In response to todays overwhelming support over Bennetta and Kevin's current tragic situation with their beloved pet Tiki, I'm asking that all that have known them take a moment and message our local newspapers in the hope that enough support can be obtained to help them through this difficult time.
I believe if enough people send messages, whether their own drafts or by copy and paste, we can work together to help them and Tiki.
Bennetta and Kevin, as you can imagine are devastated and need your help and prayers.
Their friends have rallied so closely and quickly behind them and we have committed together to bring as must public attention as possible.
Anything you can do would help them all.

After a week of treatment from several veterinarians in Long Island, Tiki, Manorville's famous corn eating dog, was rushed to Long Island Veterinary Specialists, in Plainview, NY, on Friday evening, August 09th, just before 11: 00 PM.
As of today no new information is available but L.I.V.S. in Plainview , along with Dr. Pamela Moks of Manorville, and Dr. Dominick Gucciardo of Speonk are all working together to determine the cause of his condition and effect a cure to save his life.
An outpouring of support has already been received from as far away as California, Michigan, Florida, North Carolina and Maine by those that have already learned of Tiki's sudden condition. Friends of owner Bennetta Katherine Dosiak and Tiki have rallied to her side and have already begun preparations for fundraisers, and various other means of support during this difficult time.
On September 17th, 2003, Newsday's own Jim Peppler interviewed Miss Dosiak at her popular Manorville Farmstand and was immediately intrigued by Tiki, which led to the "Pupcorn, Anyone" photograph which has traveled from coast to coast for the past 5 years.
Thanks to Mr. Peppler's photograph, Tiki has remained somewhat of a celebrity and has touched the lives of all those that have met or heard of him, especially the children that have frequented Miss Dosiak's establishment through the years.
