Not for a doggie wedding, but I am doing a wedding for which the ringbearer is the couple's dog. We're putting flowers on his collar with ribbon attached for tying the rings in place. I'm not directing the wedding, so I don't know how they are going to get him to walk down the aisle.
lol loved that one ! Got me to chuckle first thing this morning.
The collar thing was what I was thinking of too. From what I understand these dogs will be dressed in formal attire!... This all has to do with a fund raiser for a local animal shelter we've been asked to participate in. Should be interesting....More to follow...
I'm doing a wedding where the flowergirl is the ..um, flower dog.
The rest of the wedding is all bright colors (turquoise, magenta, and orange), so the dog is getting a brand new collar and leash to match. They're getting that to me ahead of time, and I'll be decorating them with silk gerbs.
We're doing a single gerb / accents on the collar, then a corsage type arrangement of gerbs/ accents to attach where the hand loop of the leash meets the rest of the leash. (does that make sense?). I'm also doing ribbon loops/trailing ribbon lengths from the corsage type dealie.
It'll be interesting to see them pull it off. I'm betting the dog is more concerned with the flowers and ribbons, than it is with getting down the aisle. That bride is super cool though - I think my favorite EVER - so even if the dog has issues, I'm sure she'll just find it cute/funny, so I'm not too worried about logistics.

Bet you can't beat this...my daughter is getting married this November. She will be having chimpanzees as her flower girl and ring bearer. She wants them to blow "raspberries" at the guests as they come down the aisle. Any ideas for flowers for the Chimps??? My daughter is an actress-this will not be a conventional wedding by any means. The lead singer for the band at the wedding is a drag queen. Want more details? Every time I talk to my Jess, I have to prepare myself for her latest wedding additions!
