I had to close my shop today..I have a deposition to go to for an accident that occured in my vehicle on July 5th 2009..Wish me luck...accident wasn't my fault but due to extenuating circumstances, I was without a valid license(unknown on my part) and in my work vehicle, involved in an accident with trailer park ambulance chasing trash, so now I must be involved in this crazy frivolous lawsuit just because I have millions of dollars in insurance money available to the dregs of the Earth...as you can tell I hate this...I am grateful for having the foresight to have adequate insurance, but I do not ,like lawyers, the law or the legal system and all of its loopholes, idiocy and manipulation, nor do I like the time theif that it can be on my time which I believe to be worth much more than the lawyers or my trailer park trash plaintiff's...

OK, I now feel much better and might be able to hold some of my very strong opinions about some of this to myslef and just stay with the facts...Thank you all for this small moment of cleansing so I can get on with my day without getting myself in further trouble...

Oh yeah, one of the defendents in this case put his hands on me at the time of the accident and I was like a wild woman and my husband had to almost kill the man for his arrogance and disrespect of a lady...so I am hoping we don't have words today..I so wanted to press charges on this man and never got the satisfaction..When I got to the station to file charges, I found out about my own failure to uphold my legal status and decided it was in my best interest to let this snake slide on his illegal action and just work on starightening out my own problem...so I have been left with animosity towards him....Ok, now I am done.

Best of wishes to you.... As My lawyer put it to me years ago....
Stay Calm, Stay with the issue... Let the slim balll bury himself. It worked, He did!!

Take a legal pad with you and a pencil and jot anything that comes to your head on it while the lawyers are talking. It help tremendeously to stay on track!

God go with you and Bless you today!

Lori, above all, be the calmest most ladylike person in the world with everyone involved. Even when you don't think anyone is looking.
I'm sure you won't be offended if i say, you are a wild woman. Remember you said it about yourself at the accident scene.
That will not be a good thing in court. You can claim shock and distress as the reason for your reactions on scene.
BUT your license issue would never negate the other party "putting his hands" on you. Your attorney should pursue that.
Because it could have shown that the man was under the influence of ?? something.

I have sued and won lots of money, and I've been frivilously sued in business and won. It's just part of owning a business.

And I must say this...what kind of attorney allows something like this to drag on since July 2009 !! That's insane.

It is just very important that you are calm and lady like, making you likeable to the judge and or jury.
The other party will bury himself.

This is just my opinion, I'm not a lawyer (disclaimer LOL)

God is always with you.

So it went well..I stayed calm, answered the question with facts and not emotions...and put it all into the higher ups hands...hopefully it will all work out...my lawer tells me that this is a case of stupidity and I shouldn't have anything to worry about, I am insured plenty for any outcome that happens...

Funny part of this whole thing, 3 cars involved, 5 people, I got into an argument with the man in the first car that ended up with him violently pushing me and my husband grabbing him by the throat. The car behind me that actually hit me and pushed me into the man in front, because of MA law is the only car that is at fault, even though the dink in front slammed on his brakes to piss me off and caused her to slam into me and push me into him...The passenger of the last vehicle, the one at fault is sueing all of us...are you following?

The man sueing all of us, his lawyer didn't ask me not one question...The girl who is at fault for the whole accident, her lawyer asked me 2 questions...the guy I git into the altercation with asked 40-45 questions and was continually surprised by my answers...My best guess is that because of the situation and the nature in which I nehave when extremely upset, the man I got into the altercation with must have thought I was a low life uneducated person... there were all kinds of questions about my level of schooling, my certifications and my business..He was surprised that I went to college, he was surprised that I get continuuing education, he was surprised at my vast knowledge of how legal precedings work, even asked if I was ever in law enforcement, he was surprised at the level of insurance I have on my business(I guess a lot of people that have businesses don't insure properly or at all). It was almost as if he wanted me to be a self employed idiot just buying myself a job, so he could rip me apart for my stupidity....boy was he wrong.

I did learn one thing from this experience, when I get upset, I do get a bit ghetto...I really do not cunduct myself well when faced with threats or imminent danger...I was quite embarrased when I had to tell them some of the things that came out of my mouth while provoked by this man...I think the way I deal with these things stems from being the fat kid and always having to resrt to very sharp tongue while dealing with bullies and "puffing up" my already huge mass to seem scary so they would leave me alone...I still do that when provoked or intimidated, I have always refused to show fear or back down from bullies, and now that I am not so scary and huge, all it does it make me look like trailer park trash..I think I need to work on this manner for myself, because it could get me in major trouble with the wrong person...

Oh girl!
Well glad it went well!

I SO TOTALLY get the "I get Ghetto" thing and for the exact reasons! It's something I too have been working on. I think if you've never been bullied or made fun of, you just can't understand.

Shannon, I think we may be so much more alike, than I ever realized...

I think we would get along so good and so possibly bad in real life...We would so butt heads because of our zest, but then hug and make up like sisters...

God bless you Lori. Perhaps this is the good coming out of the bad. You learned something about yourself and how people react to you.
Your words touched my heart. Not to sound condescending, but I'm proud of you. Ya done good girl!

Judging by your "deposition" here, I'd say that you "performed" above and beyond the "expectations" of goofballs!!
40-45 "questions" USUALLY "means" we're looking for you to perjure....Lori 1, goofballs 0
