how much are FTD members paying for membership to this organization?? There have been reports of staggering differences in the cost of monthly fees with this organization!
Teleflora is in the same boat...using OUR money to build THEIR competing organizations, and technoligies!!
I'd very much like for THIS subject to be out in the open, and EVERYONE to be on HIGH ALERT, of the possibilities of membership fee increases AGAIN!!
Mike

I believe the standard monthly fee for Teleflora in USD is $139.95. which may make responses to the poll a bit confusing.

Also, can you give Canadian and US equivalent $ info. (Talking about money in this forum can be a challenge because of the currency differences.)

I'm curious to see how many different rates are being paid by folks myself.

I only pay $40.00 cdn for FTD.......

But now they have added the QA charges back in on my account, so maybe that's why they closed the FTD board?? :FTDme

When I sent in my resignation from FTD I recieved a call from the regional sales manager trying to get me to stay. The only thing he offered at that time was to take the Q and A fee off for a year. I told him that was not good enough and that I was still quiting. A week later I get a call from someone in HQ and we had a lengthy conversation about why I was quiting. His offer was free membership with no Q and A through April. I'm more than sure that this was to keep max coverage during V-day. I told him that since it was free I would stay on.He also told me that all membership dues were going up to a minimum of $129 a month and that all members would now be paying the Q and A fee, of course this was right after he offered free membership and not Q and A fee so we can see what a load that was.. He was supposed to fax me a memo to confirm I never recieved the fax. Then I got kicked off of the FTD message board. I called him back and he said that there was a mistake and that he could not honor the offer but that he would look into it and call me back on Thursday. Never heard from him again. Not that I care, I'm glad to be rid of them. Then of course I started getting a lot of FTD.com orders for Christmas. Most of them were for low priced stuff and to be delivered 40 miles away. Those all got rejected. I kept the Merc on just out of courtesey for real florists through the holidays. Of course that was not necessary since it does not seem that real florists send FTD anymore. I went through my 2003 FTD records the other day and the final break down on what FTD cost me was a definite confirmation that dropping them was a smart idea. Not only did they not help my bottom line any, but the added work to fill the FTD.con junk at holidays just added to the stress not to the profits. Of course none of this is new to the boardies on here and I'm sure that many will argue that there is no difference between TF and FTD. In my opinion the difference is in the things like the Q and A scam, the lack of advertising and the advertising that FTD does do is garbage. The fact that the reps, if you ever see them, lie to you and then their boss does the same thing. The codified junk that they have. No one can argue that point, the keepsakes that FTD have been coming out with are junk. The huge descrepency in member dues and who does and does not get charged for Q and A And finally the new owners. The membership has yet to see major changes from this because they are not in full command yet, but mark my words, there will be changes and they won't benefit the members.

I voted $129.95 (but it is really $139.95). So you're right rosiescenario, it might effect the outcome if it's not changed or clarified.

Couldn't vote on the Ftd as we pay $40.00 plus the Q & A .

Mikey, your poll is a little bit mis-leading with the canadian or american dollar. I pay $69.95 FTd dues and also $32.04 QA dues which for me is equal to the $99.95 dues I pay teleflora.
In my opinion they are to high for the town population I am in.
Luc

To LUC and EVERYONE....

how can I possibly hold a poll that's "misleading" if I HAVE NO IDEA what everyone is paying??
i was hoping to get an all around view of how fractured this "membership" fee theft IS, and how many shop owners are actually QUESTIONING that validity of what THEY are getting for THEIR money!!
Please ALSO UNDERSTAND....my understanding IS, shops with a "long history" of "allegiance" to either or both WS's qualify for membership grandfathering in dues!!
IF EITHER of the "BIG TWO" decide to raise fees AGAIN, there is a MAJOR REVOLT brewing, and even those little unscrutinized hidden fees that Teleflora is famous for, ARE NOW under scrutiny!
Make NO MISTAKE....the "traditional" wire services ARE on the endangered species!!
They are soon to be "toast" and I'm NOT putting jam on THEIR toast anymore!!
By the way.....our holidays went VERY SMOOTHLY without Teleflora, and we did FAR BETTER having ONE WIRE SERVICE!!
THAT was NOT a TF bash...it just meant that ONE SERVICE is way more than enough, and being a Blossoms Network member now, I diverted a small portion of our orders in THAT direction, and so far, I CAN REPORT a succesful holiday season, using Blossoms, AND just got off the phone with a client, that was RAVING about ALL the orders that SHE sent, and I USED BN to send them with!
Mike

Mikey what I am saying is since there is a multitude of florist and use different $$$$$$ exhange, we only wanted to know if you want US shops, or canadian shops or both to answer your question. Because each hav their own views on what you are asking us....
That is all...
Luc

Should I try this AGAIN??....

with price "ranges" instead of fixed prices??
I would very much like EVERYONE to participate...and i CAN split it up into CDN and US funds....
Mike

Ranges might be a good idea, separated into US & Cdn fundage.
