Many of us have had the opportunity to see the beauty of this place in person but here is a link that I found fascinating and great for a first visit or a revisit.

Go up and down and all around. And look at the ceiling from the various alcoves and aisles. Click the escape button on your keyboard to get out of it.
A unique view of the Sistine Chapel. Click on website link below:

For some reason it won't work. Wish I were a techie sometimes. :( This is a really cool experience.

Glenn it isn't such a big place in the great scheme of things in the Vatican. It is lovely though.

It is actually very small, much more of a chapel then a church, hence the name Sistine Chapel, and so many people were packed in when I was there last year, I was claustrophobic. I could not get out fast enough, one door in, one door out. Good thing no one yelled fire.

What beauty!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Close to being there.

Sorry to say but the image I saw was not the Sistine chapel. It was a beautiful chapel but I don't think it was the Sistine. Here is a link to the Sistine chapel.

Still, Thanks for the GREAT image.

Oh Good, I really thought I was having a senior moment, that chapel did not look anything like I remember seeing last year. The above picture is what I saw. And as I said it was hot, wall to wall bodies, and much darker, I was happy to get out it was so clausterphobic.(sp?)

It's been a long time since I was there. If I posted misinformation then I apologise.

I'll ask my Father friend.
