Not sure what they were thinking, but it's pretty obvious they did not ask ME... or other designers...

Smither's bought Floralife... that's cool, but then they discontinued some products. One in particular kind of ticks me off...

They dropped the Floralife Hot Melt Briquettes in favor of the "glue pillows"... now I still have glue pillows that we quit using when the bricks came out... I don't like them~~!!

Hey Smither's... the pillows DO NOT WORK as well~! They cool/dry an ugly brown color, the glue falls apart if put into the cooler, never really getting hard even if not coolered and are just plain inferior in application.

The "bricks" were a MUCH sticker formula, dried clear, worked better... I want them back... PLEASE~!

Like many other things, often the better product loses out to an inferior, cheaper one... very sad...

Mark, I confess. I am the bone head. Potmelt Glue is a great product. Unfortunately, the price of the material more than doubled. So I had the choice to double the price, or take a break and figure out another option. I have some thoughts, and would love to hear your advice. Please give me a call. - Jacque Sir Louis, Smithers-OASIS North America. 330-676-4416

Thank you for your response... I'll call you Monday....

One thing to consider, I would gladly pay more for a product that works as I want it to, rather than suffer using something that does not... And I'm sure others would feel the same way.

I use a LOT of glue this time of year especially, I have already used 1/2 case of the brick I had left from last season, and 12 pounds of the pillows so far decorating wreathes and grave blankets (not constructing them)... the pillows do not work well...

It might have been a good idea to offer both products, so those of us that know the better product, could have voted with our check books...

Now this is impressive!

A company actually paying attention and willing to listen.

Wouldn't it be nice if some of our other providers and partners could learn something here?
