We are having our first snow day here since December of 1977! No public transit is even running. So needless to day we are closed. The owner lives near the store so she is going to try and get in to call the customers for today! They estimate we have had upwards of 63cm of snow in 24 hours, with up to 15 more coming today. I am actually glad, I get a day home with the teenagers! I think we will start the Christmas baking!

If I could get to your house I'd help. ;) I'm cleaning mine.

Jeannie... bring a really big shovel!

I'm now enjoying the fruits of my labour today... and not a dam n cookie in sight. :(

Hopefully the plows will get to my road tonight... I need to get to Sarnia tomorrow!

A wistful sigh...could you send a little of the white stuff our way to get us in the mood?? Stay safe and warm, I'll send you a little florida sunshine!

Lorrie.....

you DON'T WANT what they just had.....it might sound a little romantic and fun, but, it ain't , and the effect would be the same as if ALL the bridges over the Intra-Coastal got stuck in the UP position for 3 or 4 days!!
HOWEVER, sending us a little of your FLA sunshine would CERTAINLY be welcome!!...great talkin to you today!!

I love living in SW Ontario... I really really do. Yesterday's dumping was an anomoly.

Today, as is generally the case after a storm, we had glorious sunshine which helped to compress and make very heavy , the snow left in the mouths of driveways by the plows. I appreciate the plow people... honestly. And when I take their collective names in vain as I'm trying to move tonnes of snow, I don't mean it... honest. ;( Mind you I did say that if a plow driver came by at that exact moment, he'd be sitting funny.

I didn't know this but we have 1200 kms of sidewalks in this city... that's alot of snow removal.

I made it to Sarnia with no problem... and there wasn't a flake to be found there (people excluded).

Lorrie, as much as I enjoy visiting Florida, I have no real desire to live there. I do love the seasons and all the joy and trials each brings.
