Well, I rarely get sick since I quit smoking 5 1/2 years ago, and today I'm home sick........

Every year (for those of you who don't know) Flowers& magazine has a design contest. This year I mustered up enough nerve to enter.....

my boss just called me to tell me Flowers& called and I'M A FINALIST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WHOO HOOO!!!!!!!!!! I'M SO HAPPY I CRIED!!!!!!!!!

I just can't even believe it!!! Really that was all I wanted just to be a finalist and get my design in the magazine!!!!!!

Oh my gosh!! I'm so happy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey Shannon, Congratulations!!!!!

Make sure to get out the vote when the issue comes out, but one word of advice - DO NOT publish your photo here or anywhere else online until the voting's over. (I know it's hard to wait, but you don't want to ID your photo. Judging is supposed to be 'blind'.)

One of our team members (Nid, who is being inducted into AIFD in July) also got the call yesterday. This is her third year as a finalist.

Hope you feel better - I'm guessing your good news went a long way toward making that happen. :)
 
OMG!!! congratulations!!! consider yourself jumping up and down with me!!!! I don't get the magazine but I do know about the contest.. what was the theme this year? I will try to find a copy so I can see..

Congrats, shannon! That's wonderful news. Really not surprising- just from the small sampling of the designs you've shown here, you do amazing stuff. Yeah, you!
 
I totally wasn't going to tell anybody of my design until it's all over.

the theme was 'always a bridesmaid' if I remember correctly
 
WOW! That's awesome! Congratulations! I think I need to get enough courage to do the same for the next contest.
