Well, there comes a time in every roundup when a cowboy has to call in the dogs and pee on the fire. For this cowboy, that time has come.

I just want to say goodbye and goodluck to all of you. I've learned a lot here, and met a lot of really nice people.

It's a tough time for our industry, but everything goes in cycles, so just hold on, and things will get better.

Very sorry to hear of your decision.

I do hope that our big announcement later today or tomorrow (with another to follow next week) may impact your decision ... but, regardless of your choice I wanted to thank you for your contributions to FlowerChat, and say that I hope you'll continue on in one format or another.

Wow, Ted. I figured you'd hang around for my florist stock market reports. ;)

Seriously, we are all over-worked, more thinly-staffed and on-our-toes every day. Message boards become drive-bys in the quest to connect with florists, vendors and consumers. Too much info, too many same-old, same-old topics, and often too little time to process and synthesize what's truly important.

But.. the less we local florists are all connected, the more the borg wins.

I do hope you will report the goings on of Ava's on Facebook. FTD won't listen to me, but they may pay attention to info from you.

FC has been a place where we could talk across many lines... and your place here will be missed.
 
I'll miss you too Ted... you offer a view that's important here, we are not all the same and many voices make for better information for all.

Like Ryan said, I hope the announcements that are forthcoming will change your mind....
