Love 'em?

Hate 'em?

would you still pimp out the handle?

Do you plan on using them?

I can't decide if I like them or not.

Thoughts???

Just sent off for my free sample, I'll have to wait til then to decide.

Didn't realize the handles could be painted with Just for Flowers spray and still keep that crystal look.

Got something in the mail today from them. I sent off for a free sample too (actually, I just went on floracraft.com and they had me already listed to get one, I just needed to confirm my mailing address)

Can't wait to try it out.

Just got one of the large, crystal handled ones today from one of our suppliers...just to try out. We also ordered our free sample today also. (am assuming that it will be the small size, and probably in green).

Larger size is sold and boxed individually. The smaller size is sold in units of 4. (We got a crystal handled larger one @ $6.95).

Our first impression is that it is pricey.
Our second impression is that it will make a very, very good base for our tall, up in the air, pencil vase centerpieces -- no more lomey's, cling, etc (Yeah!!) We will just have to remember to price the holder correctly when we price these types of centerpieces....and adjust our make-up of the centerpieces accordingly to the holder.

We use the wedding bell holders (large & medium) frequnetly, with faux stems, for bouquets Has worked very, very well, and we are very, very good at it.
So, this will be our benchmark for comparison.

I have qualms about doing a flower girl pompador ball with this -- I think it will be too heavy for a little one, and that she will swing it around and hurt someone with it!! (Remember, children and missles scare me!!)

I think we would probably pimp the crystal handle -- fancy beading, etc to add to the glitz -- at a price, of course.

Will let you know how our trial goes. I like to try new things!!

Cheryl

How do you order one, not getting anywhere on the floracraft site.

Trish

Hi Trish, I got an invitation in the mail from Floracraft asking me to try their Gala bouquet holder and all I had to do to get it was go on a link to the site and confirm my mailing address. They already had me in their system to get one. I'm sure if you email them asking to try one that they'll send you one. It's worth a try!

Hey Lizi, how did you send off for your free Gala bouquet holder?

I'd love to try them. hmmmmm I have one last chance. I'm helping out at a shop in October..orchestrating a wedding for them.... just might try them.

Love the looks of it and love that there is so much space for insertion. I got the promotional mailer and ordered the free sample online.

I figured it would be pricey. Its also much cooler than anything else out there.

I especially loathe the lomeys with the leaning handle...I prefer the grande oasis with the straight handle....that is when I actually use a bouquet holder...

We got one of the large sized crystal handled holders last week. The handle is FAT! It fits very, very well in the tall 30" (wider opening) eiffel towers.

Retail cost on the holder was about $13.00. they are sold her in units of 1 -- so you don't have to be tons!! The smaller ones are sold in units of 4.

We used it in one of towers for a center piece. Worked very well. Very, Very stable (unlike the Lomey dishes, which scare the H**LL out of me). Lots of drap & flow out of/off the holder with dendrobs. Great amount of foam for insertions. Went together very easily.

Transporting was a bit of a challenge. since we used ALL of the foam area available, we had some low hanging orchids. We needed to modify this slightly until we got to the reception site, and then inserted the last 3 stems of dendrobs.

all in all, was a good experience. Customer LOVED the look we achieved. Amount of greens used was minimal. Production work would be a breeze to work in these holders.

I am awaiting my sample from Gala to try the smaller holder.

Hope this helps!
Cheryl

I am waiting for mine but what I love it the fact that the cage over the foam is green. It never made sense to me that they were white and then we have to work to cover them so they don't show through.

Yeah!

Also love the fact that they go in the Eiffels and look nice. Yeah!!

The only caution is to watch the size of your eiffel towers.

The larger sized Gala holder would not fit in my skinny Eifel towers. We had to get out the 30" towers, which had a bigger opening, to get the Gala to fit.

The smaller sized Gala MAY fit in the skinny towers....not sure, as we don't have one of these size Galas yet.

We had bigger stuff to do, so we used the bigger holders & towers.

Have any pics??? sounds beautiful!!

It's J... You can see them in action on uBloom... just click the All Webisodes box in the JTV GREEN BOX on the left side... scroll down the webisodes and it's the one we posted on 4-28-2008...

The Small one does fit better in a standard Eiffel Tower Vase.. the Larger one needs a bigger vase.

Great Way to transport is in a Styrofoam CUBE... I am working on a Holder that would be CLEAR and could be painted too...

The best part is the Sphere inside... NO more worries about your flowers going through the foam... and into LALA land inside the holder...

I am working on a COVER for the handle that would allow you trick out the handle...( a PVC pipe works well... and you can fabric or ribbon cover, use stems...etc...)

I hope you all like it... I was frustrated after so many years... so Got FloraCraft to let me design it...

Let me know if you have questions or challenges...happy to help!

I feel like I used to at Christmas time when I was a little boy. I can't wait to get one!!!!

when J brought these out at a local floral function, to show us, and display their spiffy uses, almost EVERYONE clamored for a "gimme", and all J would say is "not yet"......
I think he was creating a perceived marketing "plan" right before our eyes, checking out "demand".....
I just LUV this guy...he's very special...by the sounds of it, YOU GUYS luv him too!!:headbang:

Just wanted you to know that WE LOVED THE GALA LARGE HOLDER!!

THANK YOU FOR CREATING A HOLDER WITH GREEN PLASTIC!!
It has been a Bug of mine for years to have to deal with the white plastic stuff.

GREAT idea about the styrofoam for transport. After reading your post, I just went back down stairs, got a sheet of styro. taped it into our bread trays for stability and wala!! we can transport 3 or 4 centerpieces with great ease! thanks!!!

Hopefully, with a growing market for this product, the price will come down somewhat.......a girl can dream! :) :)

Keep up the good work!

Cheryl

ps. Carrieann.....no pics yet....like an idoit, I forgot to take the camera. The photographer has promised me pics. (and he usually keeps his promises...I just have to bug him a little). sorry
