Hey -
Need alittle input here. I have to do a solid wristlet of steph. I've done dendro but not steph. Wondering if glueing would be better, threading like a lia or wire and taping?
Any suggestions would help - Thanks much

Thats a delicate florwer. Thats one I would not recommend for a wristlet. I would say threading would probably be best out of the three.

I agree, that is brave!! I was going to suggest threading them together as well. It seems like a strange request since the flower itself is so long.

Wax the thread first or just use the invisaline type, which is the clear thread, and also are sure it is the steph she wanted if it is that darn pic that is going around it is that of jasmine bvaria,,when you do this tuck a touch of cotton in the center and dampon it, so that it will not be icky within hours, also, also when I have done these, I hav done the threading with the pearls and such, lordy the memories,,,I know that I have now touched down to the twilight zone, Thanks for all of this dear, and be very care full when doing this one, and make sure all paper work is upto date on what ifs, Heavens I maybe jumpin to fast, You never said what this is for??

I have used hyacinth instead of steph. we make a wire with a loop on 1 end and feed them through like a kabob. They hold up great and are quite cute. I will try to insert the picture.

Thanks much guys ! This is for one of those wonderful MOB who will just die if she doens't have this. I tried to suggest all different types of flowers but her world will end if she can't have steph.

People are loosing there homes and jobs but a wristlet of steph will save everyone!!

Why not cut the steph short and glue onto ribbon with a pretty jewel in the center, much like you would do the steph body tatoos as seen in the john henry prom book. Cutting the actual flower doesn't hurt it and then you would retain the star shape whereas threading them changes the look of the flower.

another idea we use for proms etc. make a baseof the aluminum wire and you can add greenery and glue the steph on,plus it clamps around the wrist. I find that for delicate flowers this keeps them protected.

I agree with this technique......This is the best way to satisfy that MOB

Is Steph going to be used in other areas of the wedding? if not, then that is going to be one expensive corsage.

We did one of these for a MOB who had to have it as well. I used ribbon tied around a can or vase about the same size as her wrist then glued a few steph on so they were pointing one direction and then filled in with wax and greens so that you didn't see much of the ribbon or the sides of the flower. It was pretty stiff with all of that glue but I just made it rounded using the can and it retained that shape. It was tied to the wrist with the ends of the ribbon, I heard she loved it.

Another trick too is to take the inside plastic form from a roll of waxed corsage tape cut in one spot with wire cutters so it opens up, wrap, glue and cover with ribbon. Glue flowers, etc. to that, it's flexible when done, saw this idea online and did a few for Prom, worked pretty well.
