It sounds like the FTD Canadian Florist Conference. You will almost certainly see a lot of active Canadian FlowerChat members there.

You're also sure to have a great time - Frank Stornelli and his group do an amazing job of making the event fun and educational.

I hope you enjoy your visit to Toronto!

Indeed....

Yep, I hope to see some of the Canadian Flowerchat member's there. Hey, this Texan has never been to Canada....I will be a fish out of water with my short sleave polo shirts and shorts I am still wearing to work (yes I wear shorts to work, it is not pretty but I am comfortable). Gaylon said he would get me a pass to get in....I think through Tidy's. I am staying longer with Gaylon and have Monday to myself.....any suggestions on a place to visit?

Clay,
One of the requirements to cross the border if you're visiting Ontario is a good quality snow shovel ! You can pick up a touque at the airport ... and a good pair of cuffs!

Hey, don't thank me Mikey, I'm just glad to help! :>

Birth Certif or Passport

Does anybody know if the Passport requirement is in effect yet or is it just bring the Birth Certif?

Any best guess what kind of temps I will be experiencing nest weekend?

weekend looks pretty nice Clay......

bring your birth certificate...the "problem" is NOT ENTERING CANADA...the problem lays with the US BORDER crosssing system that won't let you back into the US which we all feel is just a tad ridiculous for US Citizens!!
Also bring drivers license, and a bottle of Texas Hootch for Mikey!!:beer
See you there.......

The Royal Ontario Museum is worth a visit Clay... aka ROM. There is so much in TO to be of interest to visitors. Enjoy and Bienvenue. :)

I'm sorry to say it but I won't be going after all. I'm going to miss you guys!

Unfortunately Jane and I won't be going this year either, maybe next year.

Clay, V is right, you should put ROM on your list of places to see. As well as Niagara Falls if you have enough time (a little out of the way) , CN Tower, Ontario Place is a fun place and if you're a hockey fan, the holy grail is kept in The Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto. Lots to see and do......

I forgot about the Ontario Science Centre and the Toronto Zoo...

One of my favourite things to do in different cities is visit their original old-school food market - and one of the very best examples (The St. Lawrence Market) is just a few blocks away from your hotel. It is a very safe neighbourhood and if you're up early on Saturday morning (anytime from about 4:00 AM on) you can stroll over, watch the hustle and have a great breakfast. The specialty is uniquely Canadian - back bacon on a sourdough roll from the Carousel Bakery. It really is great - I like it so much I go every Saturday morning.

Another thing that appeals to some Americans is that Cuban cigars are legal and readily available in Canada. Unfortunately, they are also very expensive due to our high taxes.

The convention is being held in a really nice part of town. If you aren't up for commiting to anything too ambitious rest assured that you can just walk around that neighbourhood and see some of the oldest and prettiest buildings right next to some of the newest and biggest. There are also many great restaurants.

Have a great time!

Another time Clay... this area, actually much of this country is bountiful in things to see and do. I'm glad you're coming up. I hope you enjoy.

Yes, thank you V, it was the Ontario Science Centre I meant not Ontario Place as a fun place! Hy's has good steaks too.

Ontario Place is great too! I haven't been there in years though... is it summer oriented?
