just wanted to share some good news with my fc buds.

my daughter who is originally a "walk-on" at the university of iowa's volleyball team was informed today that she has "earned" her full-year scholarship for next year with the option of possibly another full-year scholarship for her senior year!

we are so proud of her because she has perservered through the dark clouds and seemingly endless stream of roadblocks to the path at the university of iowa!

go hawks!:bouncy:

Samantha, has that `power forward`look in her eyes...where`d she get them eyes.....??
When children perform at these high levels, it places great 'scrutiny" on their parents, and why did YOUR kid(s) do so well, when others could not...
I'd say you and Mike took great pains, in upbringing your children and should bust EVERY button in you shirt AND blouse for their achievements.....

thank you for your kind words...

parenting is without a doubt, the MOST difficult job in the whole world for thousands of different reasons. having said that, personally, i think that one of the most important things in a child's life is 1.)having two parents who love each other and 2.) consistently tell the child that he/she is loved.

btw, sam looks just like her dad and he too has the bluest most beautiful eyes i've ever seen.
