For those of you in recovery, that have found some level of spirituality I think this video really shows what recovering individuals go through everyday in their struggles to redeem their lives, and their sense of self.

LifeHouse Everything Skit

It's not an easy watch, if you have been some of the places we have been. Even if, like me, you have come out the other side reborn into a new you, made whole by a relationship with God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit. I cry each time I watch it.

For those of you blessed with a perfect life, it may mean little, but it shows what recovering (and those still in their addictions) addicts go through trying to regain their lives. I'm not talking just about drug and alcohol. Addictions to food, men and women, cutting, and any other form of addiction are represented, in this video as they are in real life.

I post this for those of "us" FlowerChat members that are in recovery, and those that want to understand us a bit better. It's nothing more than that, although perhaps it's a statement on part of the "how to" of recovery that I have learned well, and will gladly share with anyone whom asks for help, and some that don't ask.

If you are offended, I'm sorry.

Isn't it nice to breath fresh air? Thanks Mark for sharing this side of you.
Hope, love, faith, forgiveness and peace , it finds only those who realize they don't have it, never give it, and don't deserve it.

.....my best friend from childhood is now in recovery. We always knew he would be, even when growing up. It runs in his family 3 generations but as youth he kidded about it. Now it is reality and I am very proud that he goes everyday and tries, w/o family support...they all passed away. to recover you have to want to do it for yourself. He is trying.

Thanks for sharing boss as I am passing this on to my childhood buddy!

...you da man boss!

Boss,

How could anyone be offended? That was very profound!! Thank you for sharing that. It made me cry too.

By some miracle, I don't have addiction problems, but have had far from a perfect life. My father abandoned us when I was only 4. My stepfather abused my sister and me for at least 9 years. I have felt abandoned by God because of it, and I admit I'm still kind of pi**ed at Him. I even doubt his existence, but I think that is probably somewhat normal, considering.

I am looking for some kind of spiritual meaning in my life, but haven't really found it yet. But the fact that I'm open to it, for the first time in my life, is a start.
