Very nice, Cathy. Love the frame of ribbons. I think I like df satin ribbon almost as much as flowers. We do something similar with our corsage ribbons for prom/homecoming.

It's not quite done, but I'm easily distracted by other more pressing issues. I've never put much effort into the consult space, but it's hard to sell stuff if you can't show it, hence the bling and bauble display.

Cathy, Did you make the ribbon swatches or buy them...I love it because I am forever jumping up and down from the consult table to find this catalog, or cut that ribbon, grab a bauble, show a wristie....like a frekin jack in the box...

I am such a freak with ribbon that I have a similar board, but one for each color (a couple boards carry 2 colors) I think I have a total of 9 boards. Each board has a swatch of every ribbon I have for that color in every size ribbon. #3, #5, #9, shoestring, etc... Whichever color the bride wants to use, I just pull that board and we choose a ribbon, each swatch has a number and the spool in the backroom holds the same number so on the order form I just write down the "color #" for what ever ribbon she wants.

I guess you could say I am a little OCD, but it works very well, and keeps me organized.

For the ribbon swatches I got a cheap bulletin board at Staples, and some manila hang tags. I used a pair of pinking shears (more expensive than the bulletin board LOL!) to make the swatches, and double stick tape to put them on the tags. Map pins to pin them on the board, and I wrote the name of the color on the back of the tag.

Yeah, Lori, I hear you on the jumping up and down. It was making me crazy too! Also, while my desk is a mess, I hate stuff all over my consultation table.
