Stellaservice - what do you know about them?

On the TF and 1-800 home page - approx half-way down - there is a medium sized icon for StellaService.

They appear to be a ratings site with (limited) search engine capabilities. I have never heard of them before but that does not necessarily mean anything. What do you know?

Their site says that they handle the ratings criteria themselves after thorough, detailed, investigation into the companies. Stellaservice states that there is no payment for listing nor "gaming" of the surveyed company.

Stellaservice writes about how they examine, amongst other aspects of the assessed business, the return policy, return process, correspondence, refund speeds, methods and alerts. Nowhere could I find under TF or 1-800 on the Stella site anything about how floral "returns" are handled - for example with 1-800, the methodology is different depending upon whether florist delivered or drop-ship. I ask myself, how thorough is this assessment?

I was particularly struck by their statements about Teleflora's "...speedy one-day..." delivery and how the "Flowers arrive exactly when expected and are nicely packaged with tissue paper and ribbons around the flowers." Clearly they didn't investigate TF that thoroughly!

If TF, in particular is so wonderful to score highly as to proudly carry the Stellaservice icon, that, surely, is actually a reflection of the florists and not TF - but, hey, Stellaservice has used over 300 unique matrix to assess TF so they know all about their business.

But what is you opinion of Stellaservice, based upon experience or what the blurb says and claims to do on their website?

A perfect example of "them" getting credit for the florists efforts....

Nope, I'll never help "them" again...

It is sites such as Stellaservice which help fuel the fire that keeps WS going. Stellaservice are so far off the mark as to how TF in particular works in the department of "delivering" flowers to the recipient that one HAS to ponder the accuracy of their Marketing Depts copywriters words and their sincerity: hardly honest attributes for a site claiming to be a free-thinking, consumer friendly and supportive on-line reference guide.

The consumer comes across these icons littered around the Internet on the "big name" sites, clicks on them, reads the spin and helps perpetuate the falseness of it. I see from Stellaservice that they have approved From You Flowers and their friends FloristExpress, FTD and others. Why FTD is not given the same prominence on the Stella site is not clear as they receive the same approval rating as TF. Interestingly, StellaService does "Not Approve" of JustFlowers but, on the same screen as declaring Not Approved, but giving no reason -which does seem unfair - they state that JustFlowers "...brings the highest level of service and satisfaction to their customers online" which, to my mind, suggests that they should be Approved.

In short, Stellaservice, at least on flowers, is a stinking pile of waste matter that continues to fool the consumer and feed the WS and OGs.

I am curious about this Stellaservice site plastered now on various websites and sent them an e-mail seeking clarification as to how they checked out the TF returns process and policy and await feedback.
