Word has filtered out that these following FTD listings in the current directory are actually Stop-N-Shop (convienence stores?? not sure) in the North East, and are listed in the current directory under **The Florist Shop** and **The Flower Shop** in these cities with no ownership shown.

These listings represent maybe 100 ASBs as well. I posted this up so you folks with the ability can mark them as DO NOT USE in your system should you choose not to deal with groceries...

07-2017 Hartford CT,
21-4494AA Woburn, MA
21-2720AA Holiyoke MA

I'm sure more will come to light sooner or later...

I find it really sad that FTD chose to try and cover up the actual name of the *florist* in this case...probably because they knew Stop-N-Shop would raise a RED FLAG....too late

REALLY CRAPPY MOVE! All black-balled in my system....

Also, BOSS-mas - ASB count is AT LEAST 180. Ummm...do you think they actually PAY for each ASB??? I doubt it...

Another strike. When Dad found out about this, he just frowned and walked out of my office...NOT good when he makes no comment on things.......

There are more!!! Just check under any major city in Conn Or Ma. Then drop the letter suffix, put in the 6 digits and bingo...they pop up with also serves by and the main store! I have already complained to FTD that it is deceptive practices hiding the true company name.

Doesn't this work in nicely with the plan to build the FTD supermaket division with quality independent florists unknowingly using those stores to represent their companies?

Local florists give them our blessing by sending them our orders so surely the recipients must think they're good - until there's a problem and your good customer finds out the Stop-and-Shop delivered their gift. Try explaining why that customer should ever call your store for another out-of-town order.

Don't know which is worse, supermarket OG's or supermakets actually filling FTD orders.

ANTHYRIUM, a number of grocery stores in our area operate their flower departments under a different name. The companies long ago realized shoppers didn't really want to have enclosure cards with supermarket names on their floral gifts.

and I'm sure this is just the tip of the iceberg the ships heading toward....

I hear too that they are probably going to the 9% clearing fee (TAX) for Bloomnet members, and are raising the fee for web orders transfered over Mercury to $2.95, but thats fodder for another thread...maybe tomorrow...
