Teleflora/Dove: From the main menu, go to Maintenance and you can stop orders coming FROM a particular code...such as sending only/order gatherers. Once you submit their code, orders will no longer come to you. I'm told no cost or fees are involved. Seems alot easier to stop the orders from coming to our shop in the first place, rather than waste the paper, toner and time of asking for more money, confirming cancels or rejecting.

I'm making my list and checking it twice...and very soon their orders will not come into our REAL flower shop.

I have asked if Teleflora has a list of the Sending only shops...and was told my rep would have to help me with that. I have left a message.

Tomorrow I'll see if FTD has the same process available.

Cheers!

Yep, they DO have a list of them, but I'd doubt they will give it up to anyone!

Thanks for the tidbit - one caveat I see is that you will have to re-enter with each Dove update. I marked preferred shops previously, but when I update with the new CD, my marks are gone.

Good to know the process, though, seeing how there is pretty much no operation manual that comes with Dove.

Thanks for the great news! I had a order from 1-800, a rd# box for the address , sent a ask, got nothing concrete back, cancelled order, GOT THREE OF THE SAME ORDERS BACK!!!! Looking forward to blocking that one!

Re: Blocking

Actually, the blocking technique sends a message to that OG which indicates TO THEM that, you no longer want any FUTURE DISCOUNTED JUNK ORDERS from them.

The ideal scenario would be if you were able to REALLY BLOCK THEM from transmitting to your PC with YOU IN TOTAL CONTROL, thus saving YOU from wasting more of your valuable time in a FOR or REF counter attack.

I found a really good way to stop the orders. I clicked my Start Button> then Control Panel>Add Remove Programs>Dove> and then Un-install. It worked like a charm!

Buzz.....you really made me chuckle!!:)

This blocking feature on Dove has been out for 2-3 years. It does physically block the shop and also send them a message to let them know so that there is less of a chance they will try calling them to you. It works great. There is no charge. It transferes with every update without a problem. We have never had to reenter any shop we have blocked. When dove upgrades the program we check out all the new features... doesn't everyone do that? Apparently not. Goodness read your updated features when they come out and apply and use the ones that are beneficial... you're paying for them!!!
