Sub for Chocolate Cosmos

Monkey Tail or called Fern Curls sometime. Small lotus pods and hit them with alittle choc spray paint

Jean, is the bride wanting a true chocolate color? Most brides say they want this flower because they think it's brown but, in reality, it's a dark burgundy. If it's the burgundy color she wants...what about chocolate dahlias, chocolate sunflowers or "red alert" lilies from sun valley.

I have a bride that also came in wanting a chocolate cosmo bouquet. Ugh. I got her to switched to Leonidas. I'm going to use tight buds, so there is more of the brown color she wants. As for the chocolate smell.... carry a candy bar?

I had a request for chocolate cosmos and found that they are really a dk burgundy.

I was going to substitute the burgundy mini carns and glue a pod of some kind in the center.

I love how all these magazines use the chocolate cosmos and they look so perfect...In reality it ships like shiite, none of my wholesalers will even get it for you without a personal garauntee that you will take it no matter what it looks like....thats how bad it ships...

The burgundy minis are a good color match....even better would be chinese minis, at least a bit more interesting looking...safarii sunsets are a close color match...dark burgundy mini gerbs also a good choice...

How about dark burgundy scabiosa? If she wants them a little browner, hit them with Just for Flowers...

The dark callas are also a good match for the cosmos, just used both in a wedding and they were the same color, that dark rich burgundy.

I don't always want to use the cosmos because of the cost and they are really delicate so to get the brown color I pluck the petals off of a viking pomp.....VOILA! you have a "brown button mum" works everytime

We're using "purple prince" Echeveria this weekend for a bride, with blue hydrangea, delphinium. Bought cuttings from an Etsy vendor. It's not brown, but almost - similar shade to cosmos. We'll also be hitting it with DM October Brown a tad (just for WildFlowersChicago Amy :>)

how about dark burgundy scabiosa? If she wants them a little browner, hit them with just for flowers...
