I have a wedding coming up on the 24th and the bride orginally selected white roses, but now would like to change them to cream color.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to a nice cream colored roses good for wedding bouquets. In the past the varieties we have ordered haven't looked all that great to me.

Please post if you have suggestions. Thanks in Advance.

Eufloria's Emanuelle is stunning, we had them for a wedding this past Sunday. Just gorgeous.

For cream colored roses, I happen to like vendela for a beigey cream and Virginia for a yellowy cream. The vendelas sometimes need a bit of help opening and the virginias are huge so not good for dainty bokays.

Another nice creamy beige is Sahara. Kind of on the moonstone side.

Good Luck!!!

Good Luck!!!

I have gotten the Virginia's on a few separate occasions and each time we have received them the petals appear to be very veiny, almost old looking. Not a real fan of those, but will keep the others u suggested in mind as an option.

Yes they have a papery look to the petals. I used them in my wedding work because I like the size and the smell. I also had a great rose supplier that had the freshest of fresh roses ever.

Pam:
I would suggest: Vendella, Virginia or Sahara. Sahara is a good head sized "champagne colored" rose....absolutely beautiful! We often use all of the above to give a slightly colored look to the bouquet without blazing amounts of color.

Good luck & hope this helps!
Regrds,
Cheryl

ps. sorry for the bad typing....rain the last few days has my fingers a mess!

It must be "the season," Pam, because we're doing a wedding on the 23rd with the bride wanting cream colored roses.

(There's a stepmother-in-law-to-be-zilla story with this wedding. The bride and groom are making certain that she cannot contact them on their honeymoon, because they know she will call if she can. Among other things. Sweet bride and groom.)

I too, have a wedding on the 23rd with cream colored roses. Tell me, how does anyone get those freakin' vandellas to open??

Tim - North Port Floral

yes, tell me I've tried all the tricks to get them open ...I'm not a fan of Vendelas either!

Cut them as short as you can. put in very warm water(not Hot) pull a clear poly bag over the bucket knotted on bottom and close on top put in a bright area of shop for couple of hours. This should pop them open. The other thing is when you pick them out make sure you can see signs of opening. Buy the euro cut ones not tight cut. Hope this helps.

Also, get them in early in the week, monday, tuesday at the latest. Cut as Lori said, as short as you can. We rarely end up getting them in the cooler, because they take some time to open and we still end up "fingering" them a bit, to loosen up the petals, which also encourages opening.

I still have to try the Eufloria roses - the past few weddings we've done have all been tropical summer colors. Next time!

YOu can do as Lori says above, and if the roses are not open enough, hold them close, and blow hot air on them (with your mouth, not the blow dryer!!).

We have frequently had to "blow open" a few that weren't co-operating to get that "open rose" look that everyone wants. (one of my staff members had created the job title "flower blower" for this job!)

.....let your imagination wander.....we laugh every time we have to do it!

You can also let the roses set out in the warm, covered, and taking up moisture to help the opening process.

Hope this helps!

Eufloria has lots of colors, we've started getting Riverdale as our yellow, it is a gold/yellow color and quite striking. Looks awesome with their Sanaa+ which is a very hot pink.

Funny, I worked with an Egyptian lady with this name, spelled exactly the same. I do have to try them - next week. Thanks for naming some suggestions!
