One thing I dont like is a wire service or a shop that offers Sunday delivery for Mothers Day without cheking with the filling shop. I am open on Sunday, but I want that day to be mostly cash and carry orders. I will have one delivery person on hand to handle those freaking last minute people but one thing I dont want is to have 200 deliveries on that day. LOTS of MOM still go to church on Sunday and some do even go out to BRUNCH after church. THey stroll back home around 2 in the afterrnoon or even they go visit a son or daughter who invited her for supper.
So who oofers sunday delivery and do you charge more for that service on that day????

Well for me, it does not matter, Cash ,Cheque or Charge!!!
i'll take it all....I guess when I get to the point that I am refusing orders, it's time to upgrade, get more employees, something would have to be done!
We do not charge more for Sunday deliveries, or Holidays deliveries!
Wish I could help...

We will be open Mothers Day Sunday and will be charging the normal delivery charge unless someone wants it timed then we charge $20.00 extra . Actually we do that for all timed deliveries as we service a very large area and at certain times of the day and if you want us to do it when it's not convenient for us then you have to pay more.

Open Saturday, SUNDAY, Monday....

AND charge normal rates for deliveries, HOWEVER...MY CUSTOMERS COME FIRST...over ANY wire orders, EXCEPT those shops that honour me by calling FIRST and asking....I have GREAT RESPECT for THOSE kinds of shops/shop owners, AND WILL stand on my head to get THEIR orders filled as well!!

Closed on Sundays here. Always have been, even on Mother's Day.

We are open Sunday. We do not charge any extra for deliveries that day. But even though we are open, I would never send an order to another shop for Sunday delivery without calling first.

With the exception of Gudrun and I, all the girls on staff are Moms. They deserve to be able to enjoy that day so we almost never open Sunday. It's we're open, it's only because orders are backlogged.

If we have not homes on Saturday, we'll call Sunday to see if they'll be home. But we do not take deliveries for Sunday because of church, brunch, buffets, etc. And unless a wholesaler shows up on Monday, we'll probably not be open if they clean us out (hopefully they will). I am very upset with FTD stating they can send flowers out to shops on Mother's Day itself.
Although we are scrapping for every order we can in this area, I can not justify the time and money lost by being open for delivery on Sunday as so many are not home.
Have a great one all :)

We are not usually open on Sunday, but eight years ago started opening on Easter & Mother's Day and if Valentine's Day falls on a Sunday, then Val. Day too. Other than delivering funerals on Sunday if absolutely necessary then we're not open on any other Sundays.

Same delivery charge as usual. We don't take a lot on Sunday. We always check when taking the order if Sunday is an option for them and if we get overloaded then we deliver it Sunday. We only get a handful that actually request Sunday delivery. It is mostly for overload of those that don't care what day it goes.

I would never close Monday. We get very tired, too, but just would never consider it.

My mom goes to church every Sunday morning and Sunday night, but chooses to open Mother's Day morning instead. She really loves it. She ends up still going Sunday night. Our church is Sunday night only, so opening does not interfere with our church time. My brother always takes my mom out for dinner, and they just go after we close about 4pm. Been like that for years.

Over the years we sell more and more ON Mother's Day than I can believe. Last minute walk-ins. We sell all kinds of different stuff that has not sold for a while. They are desperate I guess. Shame on them for not thinking ahead for their mom. But, good for us!
