Hi everyone - glad to have found this website! I hope to learn and share new ideas and make new contacts out there!!

Is there a reason for not answering the questions?

Please answer... it helps.

Thanks.

V

Sandie & I met the ladies from Town and Country last night for a presentation, and they were very busy stocking up on supplies, taking in as much info as possible, and spending as much of Dennis's money as he could tolerate.
It was very nice to meet you guys, and one of my favourite shops in Niagara Falls.
Mikey

While I too am familiar with the ladies and their shop, others are not, so answering the question is still required.

Thanks ladies.

- What is your website address?
My website address is www.canadaflowers.ca

- How long have you been in business?
The company I work for has been in business for over 45 years

- Do you have any formal floral education?
I started with part one of the floral design course at Niagara College and then got the job as junior designer at Town & Country Florist in Niagara Falls. That was almost eight years ago and now I manage the shop.

- How were you referred to FlowerChat?
I was at a function at a local wholesaler - Westbrook - and was talking to another florist from London, Ontario who told me about it.

- What do you hope to gain from membership?
I look forward to talking with fellow florists and learning and offering new ideas along the way. It is always nice to get different views from others who are in the same field and can understand that I am not just playing with flowers!!

- What do you feel you can contribute to the community?
Some of my grand ideas have flopped - but I have a voice and can offer a lot to anyone who cares to listen.
- Do you operate from a commercial building or your residence?
Yes, we operate from a lovely little commercial shop in a residential area here in Niagara Falls. Presently we are undergoing some renovations and look forward to offering our customers some great new products in a new contemporary setting.

Questions answered!

Hi Everyone:
Thank you for your patience with me. I thought I had answered the questions last night when I made my application. I tried to correct it myself, but being new to the chat world, I screwed it up!! My son (of course) helped me to figure it out and THE questions have been taken care of.

To Mikey -- it was very nice to meet you as well. I hope to talk with you again soon.

Warmest regards,
Teena

Welcome to the board!

You'll find a wealth of information here, but here are a couple get aquainted tips.

There is also a helpful Search link at the top of every page
Search Query section
Search for Key Words;__________________________
You can us operators here such as and or +, or you can enclose the phrase in double quotations marks "search terms" to find the entire phrase.
Below that is the Advanced Search Section

Search Options section - advanced search
Select which "Forum" to search in at a time, or at all.

For example, "wire service" I would only search in the "Wire Service" section.
Many people that are new here seem to have a common theme, frustration with the wire services. Believe me, this has been discussed hundreds of times, and it's doubtful that anything new will come from further discussion of the exact same topics that has't been already beat to death, repeatedly.

That's the basic way, you can limit further by using some of the other "Drop-Down" menu's like if you know the thread you are looking for is only a week or so old, etc....

Now that you have a list of threads you've searched for, do not just click on the thread you want to read. Instead RIGHT click on the thread and select "Open in New Window" This will pop up a new window with that thread in it, leaving your searched list intact for you to go back to.

The purpose of the "Search" is to offer a member the opportunity to research his/her question better. There is so much information from past threads that you may never see because that member is no longer here, or doesn't see your new post, or just won't respond to the same question. So use it to your advantage and enjoy the board! View this funny and informative film about posting and searching?BR>http://uploads.ungrounded.net/188000/188612_Posting.swf

Take a few minutes to familiarize yourself with the forum. At the top of every board there are threads that are tagged as "Sticky" These threads are "Sticky" because they contain very important/valuable information about the forum and everyone should read them.

Following these simple tips will help keep the board pertinent, and eliminate the large numbers of S-O-S posts that we get here on a daily basis, thereby making this board the valuable useful tool it can be.

But we don't want the valuable, golden money making info threads to be lost in the sea of chaff.....

and please don't just be a lurker but an active contributor!!!

Welcome Teena et al. Thank you so much for answering the questions... you made my day. :)

I have used your shop many times in the past.

Welcome from the wet coast...

Looking forward to the input from the #1 FTD sending shop in Canada.

Now if we could only get Dennis to sign on & pick his brain...

oops! didn't realize this was one of them darn OG's.

Or in Canadia - the OG (original) OG.

My directory shows them as Sending Only. No pricing of any products listed.

Is this true and if not, why no price listings?
