I am taking the day off, well the rest of the day....

Jennifer, #3 kid, age 11 fractured a bone in the growth plate of her middle finger right hand.

Yea, this is going to require some surgery and pins....

So not my idea of a day off..... but.....

Joe

Yikes ... poor little one.

Not a great day off for you, but being smothered with attention from Dad is a great day off for your girl. Hope she's not in too much pain!

ANY day is a GOOD DAY to spend with Jennifer, regardless of the reason....sometimes "crisis" brings out the best in relationships between daughters & dads

Hugs Joe. Jennifer will come through with flying colours... it's the parent who is most likely to falter.

funny story about dads & daughters.....
Had to take my little girl into emerg one day, after she accidentally cut the tip of her thumb off.
She was such a "big" little girl...the neurosurgeon did a great job sewing the thumb back on, dad fainted.:faint: the nurses are STILL laughing about it, 28 years later!!

Ah, Joe! Bless you and the little one. (She probably doesn't want to be call that.)

hang in there Joe..let her be daddys little girl for the day...or week.. thinking of you....
Cindy:faint:

back home....

she has two pins holding her middle finger bone to the lower finger bone.

half a cast and her arm is wrapped up to her elbow.

sept 18, Jennifer goes in for a full cast.

What a long day... I am tired.

Joe

Jennifer will heal just fine... the memory will linger. She has great parents. :)

Will be thinking of you both and her Mom..all of us would rather go thru stuff like this than our kids, but amazingly they seem to bounce back quicker than we do...now Joe, Just wait till you have Grandkids...that's even worse I think...my thoughts are with you my friends..Give her a big ole Southern hug from me please!
