Sure just cause I'm outta there....noticed in this months statement that the eflorist sites are changing. Site owners will now be able to log in and change their listings and sites at will with immediate changes reflected on their site.
How interesting. Wonder if they are still gonna charge the $50/mo.
"self-administration" tool they are calling it.

That's a silly question Rhonda :) :) :) ...anyone remember the last time they quit charging for something???

Prices will probably be going UP, over the $60 it is now.

Rhonda, here's a good question for you.

Many florists refer to the websites that are part of the TF program as THEIR website. They talk about the money they spent for design and the monthly hosting cost and the fact that the domain name tht shows up on THEIR site all belongs to them. Just as a test, let's ask all these florists to request to move THEIR site to other host that is not charging $50 a month and see what the response is. Would anyone want to bet what's going to happen??

I'll bet it's not going to happen either, BOSS. Many will find on alot of these situations that the website is really not THEIRS. They are just renting it!

Griff we'll find out soon. I have requested my eflorist site be taken down on 31st of this month, my departure date from Teleflora. I'll be interested in finding out just how long it stays or if it disappears. They have said that I own the domain name (being website illiterate I have no clue) may prove interesting to see what happens.

Rhonda, go to Rkfdomains, and search for your domain name, when the window pops up that says it is already taken, enter the password, to see who owns the url...

I would be happy to check for you, if you want to PM me the URL

Rhonda - I'm no webmaster but I believe you can ask TF for a permanent redirect (301 redirect??) to route whatever traffic you may have had from that site to your other site. Whether they will do it is another story.
(Hopefully, someone more web-savvy will come along and chime in on this.)

Please keep us posted. No doubt, there are other TF hosted-sites that may wish to take their traffic elsewhere.

They may have registered it for you, if so it will show up as belonging to Teleflora but they will give permission to transfer ownership to you.......I've done a couple, takes a day or 2 to get it all sorted out and into your name, but Teleflora will allow it to be transfered.

Your new webmaster or web hosting company should be able to set this up for you as soon as Teleflora sends and email confirming that permission is granted to make the transfer.

As far as Rhonda's is concerned, the URL is registered to her shop, with TF as the admin contact. All she should have to do is change the admin contact info.

I would suggest moving the URL to another host like Rkfdomains for easy access and self control.

Ryan is not available now for the next 18 years...
He was up partly through the night doing new dad work.
Please leave a message and he will try to get back to you soon. (with in 96 hours).
Thank you for thinking about RFK domain.
Luc
