Teleflora clearinghouse slow

yes and how come they can't send an email telling you its ready to be viewed etc..............

Okay, so Teleflora's statement doesn't actually close until the 5th day of the month (meaning it closed last Saturday). We then schedule our statements to be available within 4 - 5 days after that, and in fact, our statements are set to be available by tomorrow on MyTeleflora.com and email reminders are scheduled for tonight starting at midnight (you may not get it exactly then, as the server rolls through the email list, I have been told).

So, in general, you should expect statements online (mail, obviously takes longer because of printing, processing and actual time on trucks) by the 10th or so each month.

Hope that helps!

Nicole, could ask your "techies" a question for me. This is not directed as a hack toward TF, but since you are the only one that will answer questions...

We have the ability to give our customer **real time** (within 24 hours) account information, why can't Teleflora? No wire service can... seems to me, they should be able to. They all sell florists systems that have this capability, but do not have it themselves...

I understand phone orders may not be available but all other aspects should be available in real time.

Just curious. Thanks and have a great weekend.

I need to clarify - are you saying make clearinghouse statements essentially a persistent account overview like your bank statement online? Just want to make sure I'm asking the right thing. :)

Yep, exactly....

That way a shop would know in advance how much they owe or how much they are due.

Nicole while we're on the subject, a current online billing would be Great when we order containers. We never know what the price really is , including shipping, till we get the statement. Teleflora is the only company that you could wait 36 days to find out how much you spent for a carton of containers. Sometimes it drives me crazy.

Naw... FTD and 800F both also run their accounting on antiquated technology, they can't provide real time data either, not even to their own employees.

don't be alarmed.....FTD sent our May Clearinghouse statement on May 21st, and it arrived here on June 5th......., it's NOT always about the wire service, but, Nicole is wayyyy more believable!!

How difficult can it be to include shipping charges on an invoice. All my vendors seem to be able to do it.

TF doesn't send an invoice with containers. You see nothing till you get a statement.
That's what we're saying.
It's frustrating.

I do agree, it would be nice to have an invoice with the containers.
Maybe invoice is the wrong word, but a summary of cost and shipping would be great

Thanks Nicole. I guess the problem is that 99.99999999999% of florists close their books on the last day of the month. That means they wait 10 or 11 days for teleflora, and frankly, wire service bills are usually too complicated to accrue.

I agree. It would be nice if TF could close the statement at the end of each month.

I would imagine that the reason for TF not to have a real time statement is because of the amount of antiquated florists out there that still use a phone...There is no possible way to inlcude those on a statement until it rolls through the clearing house, kind of like written checks...They probably could do it with all electronic transactions pretty easy, but then you would have many florists watching that and rejecting orders or getting hip to the fact that they aren't making money or what ever...seeing it in real time makes you think about it more..
