I am getting a lot of Teleflora.com orders with no delivery fees.

Is this happening to anyone else? If so what is the most I can ask for without getting the order rejected.

The reason I don't want to reject is that if I do the order will get sent to my other store and I will have to deal with a CAN from the first Store and another INQ at the other store. It's just too time consuming to REJ only to have it rerouted to the other store.

Thanks Joe

Hi Joe,
We get them all the time even though we have our delivery charge in the details.
I just send it back and tell them to add the delivery charge. It's a pain.

Before I put TF.com on my DNS list, I would occasionally have to ask for extra $$ for delivery - $5 was accepted no problem, $10 was occasionally, but more often cancelled.
hope that helps,

tracy

After re-reading this, do you realize that they probably are originating from another site that TF.com? TF.com shows their pricing for consumers $5 above their regular SRP. OG sites do not do the same. When I started noticing more orders coming in too low from TF.com, I stopped accepting them as they were most likely from a place I chose not to do business with.

Just wanted to clarify, after re-reading your question.

Some orders and countless calls with prices either under SRP or at, and none with delivery. We demand $8.00 to $10.00 or they can CAN.

( First break today ! Could use 4 more designers ! I dread the next three days but the work is absolutely fantastice this year.)

Good luck

Kevin

Tracey is correct, if the order is coming from another OG site, and is a just eh SRP, then you can ask until you are blue in the face, and you won't get 1 dime from them. We have been asking & having them cancel on us left 7 right since Monday. Have not had time to figure out whom they are cloaking for yet.

If it is a legit TF.com order, we have be able to get our $7.95 up to about $15.00 for our extended areas for delivery fees.

have a good one...
Regards,
Cheryl

Hey Cheryl

Have a great and prosperous weekend and Happy Mother's Day

Kevin

This happens all the time. We ask for $10.00 for our del. fee and get it 90% of the time. If not they can cancel the order and send it to someone else.

Hey Joe,

Good thing I'm a fast typer...125wpm! I have typed so many messages asking for price increases due to no delivery fees included. I have been asking for $8.00-that is what we charge our own customers for very local delivery. Have not received one request from them to cancel. Rather...they are very fast to reply with the requested price change. Tomorrow...I take it up to $10.00 for delivery. I'm willing to bet we are the only shop in our area still ready to handle the volume. Shops in our area just don't seem to be prepared to handle the volume of Proms, Mother's Day, etc. If they want the orders filled, they'll have to pay. Saturday...I will take the fee up to $12-15 depending on my mood! I'm already feeling moody!

Same Problem here Joe!

Linda has to send them a request all of the time for the additional $10 in wire service wampum which WEE NEED to help pay for our delivery $ervice.

When the smoke clears, we net $7, but at least that's something!

Suffice it to say that, the best their business model can now doo, is to simply MIMIC what the other OGs, DOGs, 800, and FLORAL DOT.CON SKIMMERS have already done to our industry!

To add insult to financial injury, their recipes are a joke and I can't think of any one of my wholesalers who would have the kind of inventory in flowers, varieties, and colors, their websites offer to THEIR CUSTOMERS!

No matter since, WE'RE SHORT TIMERS NOW and they bee gone on May 31st, 2007.

Anyway, it's dejaveu for us since, we had had the same problem with FTD.CON. Got to a point where she was wasting too much of her precious time, especially on the Holidays playing the (ASK) (P) (MO MONEY) game, or asking for a second choice that, she finally just had enough!

Just can't afford any outsider to SPIN OUR WHEELS at 70 cents net from their dollar plus their EXPECTATIONS of FREE DELIVERY $ERVICE, plus their annual costs to us of over $2,600.00.

We usually get a delivery charge, just not enough. Today, we started rejecting their orders because we got tired of asking for more money ($9 delivery). Tomorrow I might start asking them for $12 though :)

I gave up and filled the orders. It was less time consuming that way.

I did receive a couple of tf orders from a very large STL florist today who skimmed. I had to look up on their website to find their own in-house coded product and noticed they skimmed $35 on a gourmet basket and another $8 on a "because she can can can" mason jar bouquet.

I filled it to my value less the delivery charge.

Triage has always been THE MAGIC WORD!

We don't fill any incomings at holidays, too busy with 100%, who has time for discounted junk???not me :) TOTO, you fill incoming orders? I am shocked :)

hope everyone is kicking butt this week :):musical:

Always said that, our CUSTOMERS with THEIR 100% SALES COME FIRST, as it always should and will be for ALL OF US!

After that, we WILL FILL REAL ORDERS for OTHER REAL FLORISTS but must EXCLUDE THEIR JUNK!

LAST, we have always CLOSELY EXAMINED the HQ ORDERS while TRIAGING OUT THEIR JUNK and before we entertain them.

Regrettably, and since most of them are now OG RETREADS, and CLOAKED accordingly with a HQ RE-STAMP, we simply REFUSE or FORWARD THEM.

Having BEEN THERE, DID THAT, with FTD, and after the sale, and finally having to PULL THEIR PLUG for the same reasons, we seemed to have jumped from the FIRE into a FRYING PAN!

And so, a lesson learned (again) which brings us back to MOVING ON NOW with IFA.

You do know who's name was on that skim, right Joe?

Who do you think the skimmer is going to blame if and when they get a complaint?
