Just to keep things in perspective, especially for those FC members that think Teleflora is not out there marketing to your customers just like the other guys...

and remember they keep the $13.99 "service charge" too!

So they're further discounting an already discounted order. Niiiice.
Maybe they'll have a special where the flowers are free and florists can fill them for negative amounts! wooohooo. Those lucky florists.

Boss, I understand what you saying here with this post, but is your point to make FTD and 800FLRS seem to be less offensive?

Sure, Teleflora is out there marketing for our customers. But those orders will go to a real florist to be filled. Now if you choose to fill those orders or not is your own business.

FTD and 800FLWRS on the other hand, are marketing for our customers and are succeeding in switching them into buying non floral gifts that are then dropped shipped cutting flowers and florists out of the loop altogether.

And since this is not a perfect world, Teleflora is the best of the 3 evils. To me it's a sin for a florist to support FTD and 800FLWRS, by paying monthly dues and all the assorted fees and commissions, that support those companies in their efforts to steal not only the customers away from florists but flowers altogether.

If you don't see what I am saying just read any of their quarterly reports and it clearly states that it is the non-floral drop shipped part of their business that is generating their greatest profits. EVERY ONE OF THOSE SALES WERE TAKEN AWAY FROM FLORISTS AND FLOWERS.

sfox...we're on the same page...you know that...

I was just pointing out that they ALL do it... and no, I was not trying to make the two ugly gorilla's look less offensive...

TF called again yesterday... I'd join...but they're still technologically challenged as I told them... "make a note, and call me when you can actually help me"... ;)

On behalf of gorillas everywhere, I take offense. Please don't insult the animals. :)

thanks

Joe, Boss owns and operates what "bloomzy" calls his Jaguar. But that Jaguar only interfaces with one Gorilla. Now I don't know if you call the Jaguar or the Gorilla technolically challenged?

Should be your quote of the day... It's so true.

I've said it before, and I say again - if it were not for those dang holiday containers which we sell a TON of, we'd be gone from TEL. Wire Ins for July the lowest I can trace back in the records. But, I'm not in it for the In's. Only fill 'em if I can make $ on 'em...

Dang...

as in "Interfaces" I suppose you mean 100% interface: send and receive. I think the Jag DOES have a inbound interface for the other Gorillas...maybe...perhaps...not sure....???

Not so...FTD, Bloomnet, FSI, and Dove, if they would simply flip the switch...not to mention direct, system to system. But thats not the point...

It is why TF is "technologically challenged", but it's on their end, not mine. I still look at TF as the lessor of evils, and their containers (not that I buy them) sell better according to others.
