As some of you may know I gave my notice to TF that I am quiting. The letter went out in October and I was told that as long as they receive notice by Dec 1 I would not be in the Feb/March/April directory. In my excitement to send the letter I failed to send it registered mail. Yesterday I started to worry that they would claim they didn't get it, so I e-mailed my area rep, a very nice guy BTW. He forwarded the e-mail to TF and called me to read me their response. "Yes we received the letter but Helen called a few weeks ago and asked to be re-instated." That is such BS I can't even believe they would try it! When I call them I have to give them all kinds of secret codes before they will believe it's me so I know nobody else could have made that call and I certainly know I DID NOT ASK TO CANCEL MY RESIGNATION! The good thing is that I caught it before the deadline and it just re-inforces that I made the best decision to stop doing business with TF.

last I knew they were still showing me in their book (or people haven't updated their dove listings) and I've been out since April? Still get calls and tell them no but will take direct with a cc.

Do many florists give you the order direct after you tell them that? If so, then it works to your advantage. I hope so because I would like TF to be giving you free marketing!

yes, quite a few do. I think I've had one turn down in 4 months.

I don't doubt you had an issue, but had to laugh today when I read a Twitter exchange.

A florist announced that their TF website was 'down' and for customers to use their FTD site.

Nicole (TF Twitter voice) offered to pass the problem along to the web dept. and she did.

A bit later she tweeted to the florists that their site was down because the florist had resigned from TF.

I mean 'duh'.... why this florist wouldn't have dealt with redirecting the URL before the hosting got yanked is beyond me.
