Re: So now, wee know their NEW DIRECTION, ey?
Thanks for the TIP Mary Lou.
My memory tells me that, Meg Whitman came from DISNEY TOO. (Disneyworld and now, Disneyland) Just one great big trip to FANTASY WORLD by all of them.
Maybe, it's just ONE BIG CIRCLE for all of these CEOs as they all seem to have worked (at one time or another) for the very same BIG BRAND companies.
Anyway, and by the looks of things now, they are intent on GOING EVEN MORE CONSUMER DIRECT than ever before.
Which then means that, DA ONLY TWO who bee LEFT along with 800 will be in an even meaner fight to CAPTURE THE CONSUMER'S 100% FLORAL and GIFT SALE FIRST, after which, they will continue to try and SUBCONTRACT OUT all of the HARD WORK to some FILLER FOOL at seventy cents on their dollar plus FREE SAME-DAY-DELIVERY too!
Funny thing with all of this is in, their belief that, the DOO BEES will continue to stick around while being satisfied with the SCRAPS from their tables.
They continue to think that, THEY HAVE ALL THE POWER because THEY'VE CREATED A BRAND (or bought one)
That might be true if THEY WERE THE MANUFACTURERS of the actual PRODUCTS instead of WEE FLORISTS, but alas, THEY ARE NOT!
As more and more REAL FLORISTS dump them, those customers NEEDING SAME-DAY-DELIVERY will find that, the only way that's going to happen is if, THEY SEEK OUT and FIND a REAL FLORIST to DOO all that DOO!
And, for the ones who HANG ON, their dues and fees and discounts will continue to GO UP in the attempt to make up for the SHORTFALL in those PASSIVE STREAMS of REVENUES.
Would any of us have ever thought that, those once old business partners would MORPH and become a REAL FLORISTS' BIGGEST COMPETITOR?
