The Resnicks have completed a deal with a family from Saudi Arabia, to transfer 100% of the ownership of Teleflora, and it's subsidiaries, to a private numbered company registered in Britain.
The significant move, was apparently in direct response to FTD's purchase, and controlling interest in Interflora UK/Europe, and after much speculation, TeleTrans (Teleflora's overseas transfer facility), is about to launch a massive campaign against FTD Interflora's controlling proprietorship of global order transfers, and have threatened FTD's Michael Soenen with a hostile takeover bid, AFTER driving FTD's Class 1 shares 40% lower on news that FTD's executive shareholdings have been placed on the market, for immediate re-patriation in part, of Soenen's Family Trust.
More news as it develops.....

I hope this is what I think it is.

Ftd's Response

FTD's response to the Teleflora sale was announced by Mike Soenen today. FTD will move to rebuild the bridges with it's florist base to create a floral powerhouse structured around the retail florist. FTD feels this will allow them to block the effects of the Teleflora sale.

This just in ... FTD agrees to sell 51% of their stock to TF for an undisclosed quantity of grapefruits from the Resnick farms, a miniature train collection from the Franklin mint, movie passes for a year from the Resknick movie studios and the Resnick's autograph. Also included in the assets moving to FTD are Larry Johnson's dignity and Mike Soenen's left nut.

Happy April!

And they say Sunday is a slow news day......:ghug:

ROFL! You guys are killing me!!!

CNN NewsBreak 6 PM Eastern Time :

" Flower Giant FTD announced today that any hostile takeover attempt by longtime rival Teleflora would be met with extreme resistance by the newly revamped management team and their principle stockholders".
In a brief yet informative Press Conference Mochael Soenen, flanked by most of his primary team, along with several controlling stockholders including Gary Coleman, Dennis Rodman, Boy George, Rosie O'Donnell and Kevin Federline, stated very clearly that " the FTD organization is here to stay". " Controlling interest in our organization has recently gone through many changes and we are confident that under their guidance and leadership we will take FTD to new levels. Obviously along the way some may find it difficult however to adapt but as we forge ahead to complete dominance in the drop shipping arena we feel that florists will eventually see the brilliance in our wisdom and rush to join our revamped organization as drop ship depots. Each participating florist will be paid a flat fee for each order they deliver, totaling 7.99, and their annual participation fee will be set at 349.00 per month, which should enable a select group to master their local market ".
FTD's CEO further stated that there are too many florists anyway so this will weed out the whiney ones !

Dam n I wish I had a bigger shovel!
