I can not understand why I always get all the $35.00 orders for towns I don't deliver to on Holidays from Teleflora.com.
When I check my teleflora search for that town, I am not even listed and my minimum is more than $35.00... I understand that they get massive unexperience help for the holidays, but don't they have the same tools as me?? Good Grief!! :wallhead:

Please don't tell me to drop them... as I happen to be on the Puget Sound Board - Treasurer no less for the next year so that is not an option and they are the only wire service I will have at the end of this year.

Just feeling fustrated and venting steam.

Codifications no longer matter. As these companies compete for the consumer, with offers of $19.99, $29.95 and such without delivery charges added this will be a continuing growing problem.

They don't care if you deliver there, they just want to waste your time, and charge you for rejecting the orders.

It might be other florists forwarding you the orders because they don't want to deal
with going back and forth with Teleflora for price changes. You would think Teleflora would catch on that most of us do not fill their 35.00 total orders and for many of us delivery is higher than 7.00.
Sandra

I am sure TFHQ will call you 5 times a day for the same order too! I am so glad I don't have to deal with that nonsense anymore :)

It really is ridiculous that they don't have a system to stop bothering a hard working florist who already rejeced it 3 times!

Just Drop them!

LOL just kidding...:bangles:

Turn the dove off...........
If you're getting more problem orders than legit orders, turn it off. Make them call so you can deny them immediately.....

Sorry for those of you who do send lots out! But, I certainly don't have time fielding orders on machines to places I don't deliver to (but the stupid Mercury maps say that Greenville is 34 miles from me - as the crow flies - over 80 miles by road!) It is the OG and dumb headquarters operators who don't have anything else to do on holiday times but type out orders.

Our incomings are down enough (and our direct consumer orders up enough) that turning that machine off if it becomes annoying with "fields of europe winter" for $34.99 delivered -to Medway (delivery >$12.00) isn't going to waste more paper, time, and arguing for more money.

I have to say... Nicole thank you!! It has some thing to do with them keeping ASB zips that you use to deliver to many moons ago on your account. I had cancelled the zips and areas about 3 1/2 years ago because they were not areas to market my business. I received a phone call... thanks to Nicole from Teleflora and they have nicely removed all the unwanted areas so I will not be bothered.... YEAH!! So we shall see how this works, I am hoping for the best..

Don't hold your breath. I'm sure they will find some other way to annoy the hell out of you. It's the one thing I've learned to count on with TF. This is my last holiday with them and I am so looking forward to VD with out the time wasted refusing orders. With all the time I save I bet I can market to my local customers!

Exactly. Someone is just forwarding their orders to you.

I just checked my notes from last year, and I turned the DOVE OFF on the Friday before Christmas (which was Thursday last year). Just didn't need the headache and had plenty of direct orders to keep us busier than Santa's elves.

It WILL happen here Tuesday the 22nd at 6pm...already set up in the system.

By then, IMHO all "florists" should be telling their customers to call us to see what we have left, and what areas we are still delivering to. Closing at noon on the 24th here!

No Way !!!

Not an advocate of turning off a vehicle to help a fellow florist. That was the sole purpose... I refused to do so at my store. With todays technology tools you have the ability to not be available to certain shop codes and businesses. DONT GIVE THE PUBLIC another option of gift giving. Take care of YOUR FELLOW florists and their customers as you would your own. It's a shame a total shame if you need to turn it off. SEND IT BACK and cancel your membership. To be available on the most important times of the year are the most valuable assets to any communication system that benefits the retail florists. I know this will ruffle some feathers but so be it.

Me either Hal... but I still have 4 phone lines that will be open, and with current staffing levels, no time to send ASK/ANS "we're out of xxx"...

And by the morning of the 23rd... it'll be a done deal this year!

You have technology that allows that to happen for you.

Be positive Rock and Roll right up til noon or so on 24th. Be assertive, run a quick phone campaign being you will have people on staff. I don't want to sound like a slave driver but @@@@ bud you have everything to assist you in making it easier. Don't quit !! January will be a terribly long Month and Valentines on the weekend we don't need any more negativity. Be positive grab em til its over.
Go to menu 5-3-28-6
Set Minimums ie 50.00 and shop codes you do not want to recieve orders from and message that is to be sent. It will read both

Yes I do... thankfully!! And thanks to a great programming and support staff too!!

I was speaking more along the lines of the general florist community. We're fully MASautomated... it's easy for us, but sadly not for everyone...yet ;)

Well even if you drop them they still call you seven times a day about the same order - They called me SEVEN times on Monday to give me a direct order for a Christmas Cactus...

I told them each time the total would be $47 on a Credit card and I DO not give 20% to OG's or WS..

They kept calling saying they had a $40 total for a Christmas cactus.. blah.. blah.. Different person each time - I told them the same thing!
